Work was tedious, i’d though helping my colleague with carrying out covid tests on everyone at work on Monday would entail writing the names on the labels, luckily i checked back through emails and suddenly needed to to the online competency training so i’m now a fully fledged tester
anyway the run, rest day today so we’d decided to walk the park and run a bit down the hill, found it’s not 2k round just over one and a half so i went round again and again and ran 5.2 k in 47 minutes not fast but satisfying, running round the edge of the family picnics and the lads playing football, a lovely place to be
Plodding slowly along the top i passed a man with a walking stick he asked how many times round and when i said 3 he gave me a well done which was nice
Hot and sticky with aching legs, those up hills mean more than usual running down hill too, I joined Willow in the car roof down and home to cook dinner, what a great after work run on a rest day lol
Have a good weekend all and a special thought for Maddee who is on the IC again

Some work can be tedious regarding work with covid 19 testing.
Recently I did a short course with Futurelearn from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, they covered testing and online competency training like you described, its quite dangerous in the sense that any one working closely could become affected with it, hence protective clothing being very important.
Good run for you today on your rest day, so that was not parkrun in a park, nice enjoyable run, well done.
Oh yes Dexy My stepdaughter and i keep threatening to go to Brighton and wave at boys, lol
Work has been quite normal it’s the rest of the world that’s gone mad
We are all getting tested Monday which is 4 months too late to be honest and everyone’s wondering what will happen if one of us is positive it’s scary at times
No we didn’t get anything in the beginning, no PPE and very little in the way of support with rules changing daily it was really hard to keep up, then the NHS discharging people without testing or being positive, a lot of homes didn’t stand a chance, we were lucky and are proud of the team who kept everyone safe and well throughout
Better get off me soap box
Thanks for your comments and i do appreciate the support this site gives us
Not officially running every day but Friday was my day off and it was one of those runs where nothing went right, Saturday the plan was to walk a bit then run the down hill stretch but once i’d got going i couldn’t stop lol
Today we plan to walk it and maybe put in a couple of short sprints on the flat parts
