Work, shop, run

My oh my, I really really wanted to run today. I know it’s harder for me to get out after work, and I knew we needed some shopping, I also knew that if I ran after work I’d never go shopping……so……

After shopping, I put the dinner on….. got changed, checked nothing would burn, told a bit of a lie…”I expect I’ll run for 15 minutes so won’t be out long” and Willow waved me off.

Set the watch up, set the playlist off, hmm 🤔 walking along the path looked through NRC decided on 30 minute finish lines….. it was only a bit of a lie, 30 minutes is 15 there and back!

Start to run, listened to coach and finished the statements in my head, looking around, blue sky, sunshine, warm, comfortable run.

Arrive at our park where we started C25K and ran round once. The grass has greened up and everything is sparkling and bright.

15 minutes done so head for home, back over the bridge, not a real hill but quite steep, cross the road and back to side roads, loving this run.

Check in with my body, legs heavy? nope

Lungs panting? nope

Stretch out and get almost home So cool down walk and inside.

3k in just under 30 minutes, that’ll do me.

Hot once I stopped, stretched, turned dinner up, drank water then tea then ate dinner,

I’m looking to see how all the racers got on today

Run happy, be positive

My dinner looked so pretty that I took a picture of it

sounds like a lovely run and just what you needed. I hope you enjoyed your dinner too when you got back.

I’m going to run early tomorrow morning hopefully and be back in time to bake scones and cake before my niece and partner arrive 🤞

I did sprinkle cheese on top before I ate it, I’m so trying to lose the last of the weight I put on when I gave up smoking, 9lbs to go, Going out for a short slow run after work clears my head and let’s me enjoy my evening but it doesn’t happen that often

Thank you Floss, sometimes I look at myself a little surprised and other days I just get home from work and do nothing, x

I really enjoyed that run. The coaching was a nice distraction. It sounds like you had a great time with it. Lovely looking dinner too!
