One of the things about having a few days off is more sleep means I start to wake earlier, after yesterday’s steep climb and by the way that hill is 792 feet high I went to sleep really quickly and woke before it was light
Enough of my sleeping habits, our run this morning, easy run and I wanted to run 5k so round the track we went saying hello to the dog walkers and nodding at the pair of magpies that are almost always in the park, three times round and oh dear I’m a bit bored, after a quick word with Willow I head down to the golf course but i’m here are people near the narrow gap in the fence so turn, notice a few leaves on the ash trees, wonder what the oaks are doing?
Alongside the river across the grass keeping out of peoples way and head for the road, along the seafront back up towards the golf course from the other end and still less than 3k, so decide to run round the perimeter rather than round only part of it, hadn’t realised there was so much of it, not entirely flat I went up and down banks and noticed there were no oak trees, birds singing a few dogs running around and sunshine ☀️ smiling down, slow and steady and living life, back towards the car to let Willow know I need to keep going for a while and can he meet me in the next road?
Through the park through the wooded area and still no blooming oak trees, along the road to the car 100 metres past and I’m done,
I set up zombies run and a rock playlist on my musical headband that doesn’t sit in quite the right place over my ears and is way too hot to run in now. I have a little problem with my ear buds, if i take them out their box they automatically link to my garmin, the phone doesn’t get a look in and I can’t change them over to phone without faffing about so i’m ordering another pair for the phone
If anyone in the south has passed an oak tree please let me k ow how far the leaves are out?
Another pic from yesterday
