Run day? oh dear

Garmin tells me today is run day, oh dear we ran yesterday lol

So today is walk day

We parked at our park, walked towards the seafront through the park round the lake, not so many people plenty of bird life,

Over the road onto the beach, no sand but tide partway out so marched along the shingle, that was more of a work out than expected, feet sinking into the shingle, wind blowing straight into our faces, certainly blew the cobwebs away

I was just getting into my stride when Garmin buzzed 5 mins cool down and Willow said “ I’ve had enough of this, I’m turning round” what a good idea, wind behind us and we marched back, staggered up the beach across the road and round the lake back to the car

Zombie update, hmm had talking and radio but no zombies so no running, did a couple short sprints anyway and home, bowl of fruit, coffee, tea, hot bath and done

I wonder where the zombies were?

Happy running all

Not sure what I did with the photos

Good walk in the shingle with the wind blowing, what we call bracing, it would be hard running in those conditions, you have taken a few good photos, however, Storm Christoph is developing, that could cause severe gales on the south coast, heavy prolonged rain in the north of England and snow in parts of Scotland, good weather for staying at home, not running, I hope you are enjoying your week off work. 😊

Lovely photos you two! And it sounds like a really nice walk - I walked along our beach the other day as the prom was far too busy. And you’re so right, ploughing through shingle is a really good work out for the legs! How anyone runs along it I don’t know - but they do!

I was hoping for a bit of hard packed sand but there was none, running along the shingle would tire your legs quickly, but it’s just so nice to be out for a while

Probably too windy for the zombies today, sounds a nice bracing seafront walk though 👍

That is absolutely great... it must be so, so hard. We are blessed to be able to care for small on and that Mama and Dad are close.. so isolated walks are possible!

That’s very good, I see more of daughter and her two and dog, we have a field booked tomorrow for dog and will take hot drinks and stand apart, i’ve been vaccinated but could still get a mild dose and spread it around so have to be careful

It’s a fun game, you pick things up on the way round, I started yesterday and it made me jump out of my skin when there was shooting and a helicopter then zombies getting closer I ran as fast as i can, we’ve been running nearly 2 years though, not for c25k you need to build those leg muscles first, the down side is i can no longer get my legs in my skinny jeans lol

Think I'd end up falling over or bumping into things running away-I don't do horror!

No, i suggested Willow had it as well and he was having none of it, for me it’s a bit of fun during winter while it’s cold out, come spring i like to run with no music or anything and look around me more

My Garmin told me the other morning that a poor night's sleep meant it would take longer to recover from the previous day's run. As I don't wear my watch to bed, I presume it thought I was dead. Admittedly, that would affect my recovery time. 🤔

Oh that’s funny, Willow doesn’t wear his overnight but i only take mine off to bath and charge

Ooo...I can just imagine that bracing walk with the shingle crunching, the waves crashing down...and that noise as the tide sucks through the stones as it ebbs back down the beach....

Walks can be fun too ☺️👍
