I’ve been proper poorly since last Wednesday, no details needed but I’m better now.
Jo ran the rest of week 4 on her own and found a good part of the river to run round, twice round is 30 minutes plus a longer walk back to the car so we are planning to do that after work Sunday.
Today we met up at our usual park and due to me not being sure I can run yet and Willow trying out his new shoes and Jo not sure what she can do we abandoned the app and said we’d just run a bit and see what happened.
Started off nice and steady, there are a lot of dogs in the park today each and every one was greeted on the way round and a few we nearly fell over as they chased round with Jo’s dog, but we carried on.
the sun shone the wind blew, I bet the sea is rough.
20 minutes and we walked, Willow felt happy and went to the car while we reset out watches to walk and went round the lake.
We ran two and a quarter kilometres, walked three kilometres altogether and felt chuffed that we did it, Willows knee is pain free so the Brooks were a good buy.
We can’t meet up for a run again before Sunday so have agreed to run once separately between now and then and try this river run that is quite exciting.
Run happy all
I don’t know what wa out there but Parker did look funny so thought I’d share him

Sorry to hear you've been poorly, but sounds like you're back on track now with a good run followed by a walk.🙂 And Willow is a new man in his shiny new Brooks. Great stuff all round 🦵🏃♂️👍
Sorry to hear that you have been unwell but pleased to hear youare feeling better now. Also good news about Willow's knee and Brooks .!Parker clearly thinks he's a meerkat!
What a funny photo 😂 I have often thought that some cats believe they are human and your photo just shows Parker ready and poised to box another cat’s ears 😻😂
Good news that your poorly spell is in the past and you can run again 👍
Hi glad you got out today on your run with you friend and Willow, pleased his knee is better,. Mr D has brooks but getting knee problems think they’re getting a bit worn , going to check out others for him as probably needs to change. Mr D like your photo of Parker he’s not a wee ball of fluff anymore🙂
Ooo it was pain in Willows knee that had him limping back to the car made me realise he’d worn the old ones out, a new pair of decent trainers a year is a small price to pay for being pain free No Parker is a young teenage cat now and delightful, apart from the odd nip of Willows toes his behaviour is lovely
Glad you’re feeling better Sola; a good run for you today! Willow must be so relieved his new shoes seem to have worked a miracle on his knee! I think Parker is practicing to be a meerkat!
The shoes make such a difference, thank you it’s good to have the energy to run again, and Parker, we’ll! i never found out what made him stand up and stare
He’s growing out of crawling up curtains, I’ll be happy when he grows out of sharpening his claws on the furniture, he spends plenty of time outside and I’ve explained about fence posts and trees, to no avail. You would have loved to see the badger 🦡 pottering around in the garden with this little black cat following it around. We did worry when he was smaller that a fox might run off with him, but no! he runs after them until they leave his space
Sorry to hear you've been under the weather, but what a lovely recovery post, and an adorable cat photo for good measure. It's really amazing what a difference the right, or the wrong, shoes can make.
He’s a typical man thinking “they’ll be alright for a while longer” but for him it’s so important. me now, I have made for me insoles so can run in anything, Hence the reason ai mix and match, It was so good to be well again and be able to go for a run,
Sorry you were feeling poorly, but pleased you got out there, and that the shoes are a success! What a great photo of Parker - animals are just amazing 🤩.
