Car window down and stuck, can’t pair headphones with phone as they are stuck in watch mode and Zombies run, hm set up a training plan, clicked to start started the whole thing again and not training plan, ah well that’s Saturday for us
Park busy, wandered past the lake, busy, it’s a good place for kids on bikes but oh they scream loud, across the road, seafront manic climbed the stones ooo a little sand, good for a walk if not a run but..... full of people, you’d think it was a summers day , getting cold now still walking, round the golf course through the middle and run a bit as more open space here, people dogs and grungy mud, back and round the park once, mostly in wet muddy grass though because paths are really busy and it’s no fun when a kid whizzes past wobbling on a bike
Home, lunch, snooze next
Have a great weekend folks and hope you find your happy running place, if you find mine send it over please
There’s a feeling of at least we got out to today

If the windows of your car is stuck at down that could cause two problems, the first would be that it would be very cold in the car while driving, secondly a theif could get into the car while it was parked in the street unless of course you have a garage, I just hope it can be fixed very soon, apart from that you had a nice walk/ run today 🏃🏾, don't worry about the Zombies 🧟♂️
Hi Al, yes it was cold while driving yesterday, we took Willows pride and joy out the garage and put my favourite car ever in its place, a mate who is an auto electrics mechanic can’t get the part and it’s going to cost several hundred pounds, so it’s booked in for Monday, I think it’s Brexit that boost the price up and Covid that means it’ll take a lot longer to fix but fix it will one day Means I’ll be driving Willows pride and joy, an old Mercedes, around for a while, which is fine but it’s auto lol
I might go out later wrap up really warm and walk a 5k or more route round the village, the downs parks and beach are just too full to be able to run comfortably and those kids on bikes well!!! it’s good that people are out and not meeting inside but bring back normal life please....had enough of this last year as everyone has
At least you did! Shame it was so busy everywhere - it’s the same here and the traffic is horrendous, they can’t all be essential journeys surely?! I hope the tech sorts itself out next time!
I’ve deleted Zombies run, decided i’m happier not trying to follow a plan, going to just run round the roads locally tomorrow and see if the loop i think is king enough really is, I can always go round twice if it’s not, i did think going through the middle of the village should be quiet all the shops are shut There are a lot of cars around
I want to go for a walk now it’s dark but so far the couch is winning, i will have another go tomorrow 😀and booked the car in the garage for Monday, I don’t care what it costs i just want it fixed Hope you are having a good weekend
I hope you enjoy your walk today and it is less busy. That is great that the car window is being fixed on Monday I hope it doesn’t cost too much. I still have bad fatigue and feeling rough but I want to start going for little walks. Take care and have a lovely day
Keep warm, rest up, don’t rush it, I was unwell a year ago with Covid like symptoms and our first run was 1.6k 2 weeks later a little walk in fresh air sounds a good starting place
Thank you so much Sola, sorry to hear that you was unwell a year ago, gosh that was good that you was able to do a little run two weeks after💪💪. Yes I thought the same
They are everywhere, it’s like middle of summer with crowds, i know it’s good to get out especially with children but it is mad out there, way busier than before Covid, we used to see a dog walker or two now crowds of people whole families and friends and spread across the paths, of course if life were normal they would be in the shops, i went into Saibsburys yesterday and it was nearly empty
Oh dear you've had quite a day of it. Nothing else for it - you'll need to hit the wine this evening! At least you got out though. Its the same everywhere I think - people out and about because there's nothing else to do. I want my canal back!!! 😄
Hope you had a nice snooze and managed to fix the car windows. it's a bit chilly to be driving around with them down. It's a right pain sometimes isn't it trying to re-pair bluetooth devices?
I totally get the bike thing - I was almost taken out by a bloke on a mountain bike this morning on one of those shared pedestrian/bicycle lanes. He had no bell, shouted no warning but literally brushed my arm as he flew past us.
It’s scary how close they get sometimes and if like me you have music in your ears you don’t hear them until they are very close and even without music they are quiet
Everywhere is busy, especially the attractive places! Here in our lovely part of Norwich we're walking after dark or in the rain, on residential streets, and I run at dawn when the weather allows. People walking after dark last night thanked us for keeping our distance. Nice connection! Like your posts. Our first home was in George V Ave in Lancing (does it still flood?) and our children were born at Southland's, long ago! We're moving back to the south coast soon. Have missed it all these years.
You are in a favourite area of mine my grandparents lived at Hemsby Beach so holidays were there Parts of Lancing still flood I think we are just not high enough above sea level for the rain that runs off the downs to quickly join the sea 😀
awww bless you both, we all have days like that, they are the ones that you just have to think, ok, 'everything for a reason' someone is trying to tell me something!!
According to my local Facebook pages, my non Lockdown scenic routes are all chockablock with people, and the car parks are full. So I guess that makes my urban street runs more bearable!
