No sun today, light drizzle, which was quite nice really, not too many walkers about either, put a couple of hills, into the route, and was quite surprised how easy they felt π ran with my daughter, so no music, and turned of notifications, just doesnt sound right saying I ran naked, with my daughter! π€£ nice, slowish, comfortable pace, and more km's towards my total. π
Had my new, pancreatic cancer action, t-shirt on today! π

Yeah but todayβs was out of pure laziness, it was pouring with rain and the option of staying dry or getting soaking was a no brainer- determined to get out in the real world on Saturday with a little treadmill one before then
With the bad weather at the moment, not surprised you chose the treadmill, more so after your brush with covid! This storm coming in, not looking good! βΉ
Well done Peter, great stuff ππ» hills are growing on me too π€£ I think il try a flat 5k in the morning though, looks like I'm not gonna be getting home from Glasgow until late tonight so not planning anything too tiring.
Blimey, Glasgow, sounds a long way, but not so far from you, i guess, quite gentle hills today, so not too bad, guessing a fast π₯΅ 5k tomorrow then! π€£
Yeah that's my thinking ππ» don't want to be out in the rain too long π Glasgow is about 3hrs30 mins from us, set off 05:30 this morning and will get home at 21:00 tonight π€¦πΌββοΈ
Nice one and well done with the hills ππ». When Hidden first mentioned βNaked runningβ to me , I thought what the hell is he talking about??!!! π³ Then I Googled it! ππ
Great t-shirt and great work on the hills! Did you enjoy the βfreenessβ of running naked though? When my head isnβt in overdrive I reckon I could quite enjoy it.
I did try it, you made me..?! π Two weeks ago! It was ok I just wasnβt quite in the right frame of mind. Will try it again at some point. Practice makes perfect π
Yes, will keep notifications quiet for a bit, was actualy a bit slower today, which is good, as was feeling the last 2 long runs a bit, felt ok today. π
Well done πI ventured out for a short run on Sunday as no snow or ice. Will head out tomorrow before work to clear the head. More snow forecast this week. π
We've been lucky down here, one morning, a layer of snow, soon went, and not even been too icy, i guess you have to be carefull, good you were able to get out for a short run.
Well done Peter44, light drizzle is quite nice, helps keep you cool, sounds an enjoyable 7.5km, no obstacle course for you negotiate today too, which is good.....running naked with your daughter doesnβt sound good does it πππββοΈπββοΈ
Yes, nice and quiet out there today, although i need people to see my t-shirt, and the message it shows!I know, running naked, with my daughter!!! π€£
Great run with the hills, Peter. Love the t-shirt and well done for adding more kms to your total π. I tried naked running and was surprised that I enjoyed it, but it has to be on the right run for me. For my longer runs.I like to listen to coach Bennett; although maybe when we have some warm, spring sunshine, it might be pleasant not to be listening to anything through the headphones.
You'd all laugh if you saw these hills π€£ more of an incline π€ was nice not hearing the pace, every km, and probably helped keep it a bit slower, you not been out today?
Yes, I went out in the wind. 4.16 km, average pace 7:16. Not too bad - I can feel my pace improving lately. Needed a 30 minute run for a Strava challenge and I think the weather here is going to be even more windy tomorrow!
No, I was due to go out today but thought it best to have a two day rest after the 7k- twitchy knee playing up and don't want an injury to stop me running now!- tommorow in the lashing gales and rain is looking favourite.π§οΈ
Hey ππ» another solid run (with hills!!) and good to see you too, sporting your PC T-shirt. Mustβve been great to do a quieter run after your last busy dodging the crowds run π Iβve had to skip my Tues run. My shins are still sore and burning up after my outing on Sunday and I think I need to rest a bit π« Iβve been Googling βshin splintsβ and I donβt like what Iβm reading so reallllly hoping this is not that!
I've heard shin slints can be nasty, best to rest, i actualy thought about it too today, as had a slight niggle in right knee, which has been ok really, since early c25k weeks, but was good keeping it slow today, well, i'm never fast π€£ will hold of doing another long one!
Thanks, got about 15km to go, to get to my 100k target, for my run, in aid of pancreatic cancer, and how early diagnosis, is so important, with this very aggressive cancer! π’Have you been out in the snow, since your last run?
Itβs amazing what you are doing. Such a worthy cause.
Yes been out in snow, on W5 of JuJuβs Magic Plan. Struggling though at the moment as I had recurring hip and quad pain since I completed the C25K in October.... so I bit demotivated at the moment. I have a appointment in half an hour with a sports injury therapist to see if she can help π€π»
