I finished work just after 1pm yesterday, only an hour later than expected, but Health and Safety checks done, Fire alarm tested, Covid risk assessments updated, night staff found and Cook chased for boxing day (apparently I failed on that one and looks like the boss is going to have to go in and cook) ππ€£ππ
I muttered I suppose I could if no one else can and heard rather a lot of donβt you dareβs let the boss do it for a change
So after horrendous night of clutching a hot water bottle to my middle vowing I will never eat Christmas cake or mince pies again I slept til nearly 10am and it looks like Willow took the opportunity to wrap presents
Christmas music in the ears and off...I decided to take my phone so we could have photos, boy is it chilly, not cold but chilly, blue sky bright sunshine but chilly
The park was full of kids on bikes, the sun was bright and I could hardly see a thing, 1k 8.15 and slowed to a walk, down the side of the golf course, slip sliding away, across the road and on to the beach, itβs beautiful so ran a bit walked a bit and took photos
Turned round at 3k and who should I see walking towards me? but Willow so we walked back to the lights holding hands and crossed the road, jogged round the lake and home π
That was fab Willow is hobbling a bit his backs a bit sore. There will be hot baths yoga and massage later
There was some cheesy rolls in the freezer so into the oven they went and then spread with butter and marmite
Happy Christmas eve everyone
Oh and I dyed my hair red last night, it looked great when done, this morning in the sunshine itβs definitely ginger rather than red π

A lovely walk/run for you today, great photos as well, eating too many Mince Pies can cause πanyway, I wish both of you a very Happy Christmas π€Ά π
Happy Christmas to you too, itβs just lovely not being at work even though i love my job and the people there, the last 2 Christmases Iβve worked christmas eve and boxing day so this is a bonus
Iβm still singing 5 days off to the tune of 5 gold rings, going to paint my nails and put my rings on woo hoo so nice not to be at work for Christmas Iβve worked so many of them
Wonderful! Love the red hair, always wanted red hair but never (yet) died my hair.
Would have wished you loads of mince pies, but considering your need for hot water bottles after a mince splurge, not sure thatβs a good idea π€£π€£
Wonderful joyful post. Looks lovely weather to be out. Merry Christmas both, enjoy your time off. Lovely photo of the two of you, you both look so happy x
Thank you, itβs distinctly more orange than itβs been before but now i match my teenage grandsons lol, the crispy cheesy rolls with marmite are one of my favourites Have a lovely day tomorrow
Son has just informed me they will be down at 10 in the morning so will have to run after
I used to use henna to bring out the red highlights...but had to stop when I got too much grey and it just went orange. I use a fancy hair dye now...meant to be deep cherry red...but yes, in the sun, it still tends to look orange ππ«π
First year of retirement...*very* strange to have no need to request off duty and organise clinics and calls for the week!
Oh that must be lovely! looking after you and yours and not being manic at work, Iβve worked so many Christmases that itβs great to have 5 days off Have a lovely day tomorrow
