Ok, you guessed it! Iβm running as Runner 5 in my Zombies, Run π§ββοΈ world again. Having saved up my missions (I am still not yet subscribed, but itβs on my Xmas list ππ) I can run for a bit longer now in this apocalyptic world. And not just this world!
Iβve also finally made it to Somerset in RunLEJOG! Yup, this slow runner is still down there in the south somewhere, but looking forward to exploring the apple and cider ππ county!
AND... Iβm into week 5 of Ju-Juβs Magic Plan with a short, quick (but slow) run on one of my annual leave days. I do think Iβm fortunate for how much I actually like the act of running. This morning I was actually humming and hawing as yesterday my knee niggles acted up a bit, as the day before was my long 8k run. But when having to chose between a lie-in recovery in bed π and a slow recovery run ππ»ββοΈ , I chose to do an easy 4K run. So a cozy-slow run is equivalent to a cozy slow morning in bed! Whoβd have thought! And running to a training plan is yet another running world I have been fortunate to discover!
πππHow many worlds of running can one run simultaneously?
Also am thankful to BrianUK for the tip of giving onesβ post-run legs a cold π₯Ά shower πΏ. And it worked a treat this morning.
Happy running everyone!

Well done CBDB I havenβt done a Zombie π§ββοΈ π§ run for a while so I must be due oneπ Iβll probably give it a go sometime this weekπIt was my first day back at work today after a week off so I got straight into it, which meant I couldnβt run until lunchtime. I really really prefer running first thing in the morning!π
As for LEJOG, Iβve just passed the 450 mile running mark and Iβm on the shore of Ullswater in the virtual world.
Iβll see you in virtual John OβGroats when you get there!ππ
Fabulous! Yes I go on to the Zombies App once a week to unlock the episodes, as Iβm not sure if it adds them up if you do not go into the app. So would love to know if you could unlock several now, or if itβs now just one.
And I prefer running in the morning as well. I know the feeling. ππ½ππ»ββοΈ
Great job! Iβve been running through Zombies as Runner 5 for awhile now and also working my way through middle earth as I listen to a Lord of the Rings podcast (discussion of the books, chapter by chapter, not an audio reading). So thatβs two worlds.
Iβve just started using the Calm app to help me sleep at night and itβs gotten me into a meditation learning program, so Iβm considering trying a run with meditation, totally silent, focusing on....something, not quite sure yet. But alas that precludes my entering both the zombie world and middle earth, so youβve got the win with total simultaneous worlds!
Ha ha, itβs so 21st century where running in one world is just not enough! π€£π€£ and yes, we need some meditative runs as well! ππ½πͺππ»ββοΈ
Because I generally have a dog with me when I run - when I could - and in the winter they more often than not are in need of hosing down after a run, I used to hose my legs and trainers down in the garden before going for my βproperβ shower. Itβs amazing how warm that water felt on a cold day, post run.
Of course my dogs are spoiled and we now actually have a hot tap out there too.
Well done Runner 5, multi tasking by running from zombies and progressing on Ju-Juβs magic plan. I feel another zombie episode is calling me, so Iβll venture out for another one soon πββοΈπ§ββοΈ
Oooh, I really must try the Zombie Run app, it sounds like a lot of fun. Perhaps I'll give it a go in January, it's always a miserable month and with all the talk of locking down after Christmas, I think some extra fun might be required!!
Another excellent run for you CBDB and great progress on your LEJoG journey too, fantastic ππππββοΈπββοΈ
π€£π€£ itβs a fitness app that embeds a story into the fitness activity! As you run you discover more and more of the story. Itβs really fabulous fun. Hereβs the link to the Wikipedia entry en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zom...!
I haven't ran away from zombies in ages! Must give it another go soon but probably not until after Christmas, I just don't think I could get into it at this time of year ππ€£π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ Well done on your progress over multiple plans and platforms! ππππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
Wow, so youβre the courageous No5 runner who keeps the Zombie sprints switched on! I fear I switched as many Zombie sprints off as I could, and still they pop up!!! π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ§
