Morning, managed my weekly 10k yesterday, didn’t really fee up for it but managed to come up with “ a cunning plan”...
Normally I do two 5k loops with my car parked roughly at the start/stop bit which means I can stop at 5 If I want ...however I was determined to run 10k so instead of loop I just ran in a straight line for 5k, that way forcing myself to run back 5k . In my head it’s easier to run 5k back than walk it. I’m just lazy Like that.
It was fun seeing new sights although at the 4K mark I released I was running down hill a lot and it came and bit me on the bum on the way back up hill...however got a new Pb, only by a minute - but a minute is a minute , I’m still over the hour but it’s single figures so I’m happy
Hope your all well
Take care

Wow, a minute off a PB and with a hill included. Well done.
I can't run laps of the same route as I know I would give up after the first one, so I either do bigger loops or there and back and for some reason I always feel relieved that I've got to the turn around point and seem to have a new lease of energy to start the return (apart from my last run, when after a spectacular tumble my back home route was provided by my hubby in the car and went via the A&E department of our local hospital 😂😂😂)
Great job. I still sometime have to talk myself round my usual route, telling myself I can walk for a bit after 5K, then at 5K I move that target. Silly probably but gets me through sometimes and helped my with a 12K run in 59m this morning.
