Dilemma overcome

A text first thing this morning arrived “Yes I’m really sick can you please work my late sleep in for me?” well it happens but this means a morning run or no run....do we run? last time i ran in the morning before working late shift a night staff didn’t turn up and i worked the night as well...

The sky is blue, the air is crisp , dilemma overcome....off we went

I had downloaded Paul Simon to my watch, headphones in and was just wondering how many Paul Simon songs I actually know when headphones shouted “power off” and passed away, hmm didn’t charge them

Twice round the track, no speed involved, there was a guy ran passed us and i used him as a pacer and kept up but not for long, he was really fast, then i peeled off and left Willow to it, ran alongside the golf course out onto the seafront road back along to the traffic lights 🚦 turned left and ran along next to the lake, swans, ducks and moorhens lazily floating around their reflections in the water, so i questioned myself, by the river or through the trees back to the track? the trees which are bronzing nicely won and i had half a kilometre left so once round the track as fast as i could

Stop the clock at 3.5k turned and walked back to meet Willow who covered the same distance in the same time and we walked back to the car together

That was Magic plan week 3 run 1 and looking forward to a day off Tuesday and 7k

Happy Sunday runners

Sounds like a lovely run for you both. Very similar weather where I am, out early to avoid all the dog walkers and bikes. Hope you don't end up having to do a double shift x

Me too thanks

There were plenty of dog walkers in the park but no kids on bikes and scooters today which made a nice change

I hope you enjoyed your 3.5K run this morning, those long shifts at work are never good for anyone, working 16 hours a day is bad, good luck for your 7K on Tuesday,

This morning I went a short 9K bike ride round part of my 8K running route, a run on Saturday and a bike ride on Sunday seems to keep me in good health. 😊 🏃🏾 🚲

Well done for getting out there it really is a beautiful morning. ☀️The first time my AirPods battery died I actually thought I was being chased by a heavy breathing elephant until I actually realised it was myself ha ha 🙈🤣🏃🏾‍♀️ Happy Sunday!!

3.5k is a lovely distance to run when you’ve got other things to do, and what a beautiful morning.

Yes it is a bit short for me but before work enough, we slep for half an hour before i got ready for work and that made a difference i don’t feel tired at all

I can’t wait to run 7k I did 8k back in April but then dropped back to 5k being our run, this time Willow runs as far as me so we run together, i didn’t want one of us running for ages and the other sitting waiting for us to finish,
