I’m aiming to do my first ever 10k on 18th Nov. I started C25K in Jan and finished it in April. I have ran 3-5K over the summer a few times each week and now am aiming for 10k. I’m planning to increase my runs by 1k a week. Tonite I did 7k in 48mins, my last 7k was 53mins. Any advice?

I used the Nike Run Club app, lots of runs on there of various times and distances including two which are 10k. It’s free, you can listen to your own playlist and you get the advice and encouragement of Coach Bennett, Nike’s Head Running Coach to get you through. It makes your first 10k a lot more enjoyable 👍
Well done firstly! 👏👏👏👏
I'm not a massive fan of small incremental increases. I'd stay at 7k or 8k a few weeks as your long run then just do 10. You will be absolutely fine because you'll build up your distance.
Your times seem good and around 12 min pace per mile is a good way of doing it. I like to always run by feel and if you're out there and feel good then carry on, especially as the extra 3k is well within your reach.
If you haven't already, take a look at ju-ju- 's Magic Plan, the 10k version: healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...
Also, don't worry about getting faster, that can happen later. Happy running!
I had signed up for my first 10K last month and started to follow the Magic Plan to increase my long run by 1K. One lovely Sunday morning I set out to do my 8K and was running happy so just carried on to 10! Have done a couple of times since using NRC which I find good for encouragement/company Good luck and happy running
Thanks for ur advice 😁🏃🏽♀️ I’m loving it and can’t wait to do the Run in the Dark 🏃🏽♀️😉
