It's taken me 6 very enjoyable months to get here. It's not the fastest time in the world but that doesn't matter - I did it, I finally ran 5k for the first time in my life!
I have finally run 5k!: It's taken me 6 very... - Bridge to 10K
I have finally run 5k!
Congrats 🥳
Congratulations 🎊 🎉 🎈
It's worth the wait isn't it, enjoy the feeling of success x
Happy running 🏃♀️🏃🏃♂️
It's a 'Runners High' like I haven't experienced since Week 5 run 3 of C25K! I had a little cry, I can't believe that I did it - me! When I think of how I am 54, overweight, have never been sporty, have always found sport difficult.
Yay that's fantastic!!! Bask in that success. 🏅🏅👏👏😁👍
Wow, well done! Not a bad time either🏃♀️
Well done. It's a great feeling. Be joyful at your success.
Well done Foxglove2, a great day indeed, it’s amazing what the body can do if we just stick at it. I hope you’ll keep going with the running now as it really is a life ( and health) changer. 🤗
Well done on your 5k . Time doesn't matter the point is you ran it and should be so pleased 😊😊👏
Absolute star! Well done on getting that 5k under your belt. Good time too. You've just proved that age and physique are not the most important criteria. It's determination and sometimes bloody mindedness that gets you there!!!!Happy running Foxglove2
Congratulations, I hope that feeling of great achievement stays with you for a long time. Happy running 🤗
Good on you, Im your age, also overweight and still 10 min slower😂
That’s fantastic, that first 5k is amazing isn’t it? and our first 5k took 52 minutes so yours isn’t slow
Congratulations. Don't worry about the time, being able to reach 5k is a great achievement 👏👏👏

Well done and how lovely that you describe an enjoyable 6 months!
I'm coming back from injury and haven't run 5k in a while, but I do remember it felt like a milestone. Never think too much about pace, just carry on enjoying your running.
