Got up at 6 to start at 6.30. Then had 5 minutes walk and then off I go. For only the second time since I started in May, my legs didn't feel like concrete.
When I'd finished my run, the 5 minute walk home was easy as well. Usually one step forward seems like 2 steps back, not sure it any one else feels that as the norm?
Just by the by, have a look at the calories burned, that must be a big Mc, not that I've had one recently, 3 weeks now! π
Anyway I'm now going to have a day of rest to prepare for week 2.
I have some good runs where my legs feel really strong and others runs where they feel like lead. Iβm trying to make sure Iβm drinking lots and more so the day before I run. Iβve also started having a small banana before I go ( I run early and never used to eat beforehand ) particularly on longer runs. I keep meaning to do some strengthening exercises but never get round to itπ³ I donβt think the heat helped either and I felt much better running in the rain last weekend - it was quite refreshing. Keep going - youβre doing great !
I may look into drinking more. Sounds like a good idea.
My runs are varied when I run. If it's in the day I'll go 2 hours after I've eaten. I may try a banana in the morning it its an early start run. However after a morning run I tend to have porridge with banana, I could have honey with it instead.
Strengthing exercises I've just started. 5 push ups in 3 sets so far. I've only done them one on Sunday. It's a startβΊοΈπ.
