I was supposed to be running my second 55 minute run today of the magic plan. I was a bit apprehensive as my right ankle had been hurting on a hill walk a few days ago. The run started off great but when I got to 45 minutes the ankle started to get painful. After a minute of trying to decide whether to carry on I decided that I would stop to prevent further damage. I was so disappointed as I really wanted to run for the hour next Thursday however to my total amazement when I checked my stats I found that I had run 5k in 35.93. Now that is something to be happy about 😀🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️

Great decision to stop when you did as you might have made it worse. Take a few rest days with maybe just some walking . Congratulations on your 5k 🥳🏃♂️
Great call with the ankles... and congratulations on that 5k time. Hope all is well with the ankle soon... but ankles are not to be rushed, so don’t get out there too soon!
Fantastic 5k time MoliJ! A pity about your ankle and having to stop - but I'm sure that was the right decision. You knew you were going to manage it otherwise, which is great.
Sorry to hear about your ankle but wow, cracking run for you today. Hope the ankle pain eases off and allows you to reach your 1 hour run soon. Happy running 🤗
What a bitter sweet run, fingers crossed the ankle is ok. My fastest 5k has been 38mins, but I have found that I really enjoy a slow 7k, took me 58mins last time, you can definately run for longer, just do it a bit slower🐌🐢🙂
Thanks, did wonder if the ankle was because my pace and distance has increased. Just been for a walk and ankle feels fine. What I have noticed today is that my hamstring is tighter on that leg. Not sure if that is something to do with it.
