Feeling very HAPPY πŸ˜ƒ

After 4 weeks of Physio for a peroneal tendon issue I finally tried my first run with my daughter following the Corby Park Run route. I was a bit nervous as I knew I would be upset if I still had pain. We set off and the first 10 minutes were absolutely fine. I decided to walk some of the route that goes over uneven rough ground. When I started running again I could feel a slight niggle in the ankle. I walked for another minute and then tried again. This time I ran with no issues. We managed to run for 33 minutes in total. I decided that that was enough for my first run. Going to see how it feels in the next few days and then try another run on Tuesday when I am back at home. Feeling delighted that I am back to running. 🀞🀞🀞🀞🀞for a continued recovery.

What a pair of belters! Lovely pic 😁

So pleased that you got round and that you managed it carefully too. To be on your feet 33 minutes (great time too) is a real positive. Stretch and strengthen and rest 😊 celebrate this achievement tonight.

Thank you, I have done lots of stretching and I iced the area. I plan to go for a short walk this afternoon. πŸ‘

Good luck with the recovery. It sounds like you are being careful which is very sensible! Onwards and upwards!

Thanks. I am hoping being careful is the way to total recovery. πŸ‘

What a lovely photo - you look so happy! So great to hear that you're back to running and I'm sure the slow and steady approach is just the ticket. I do envy you running with your daughter - my raving about c25k has fallen on deaf ears - husband, daughter, assorted friends, work colleagues..... 🀣🀣🀣🀣

Thanks Fiona. It was my daughter who got me into running. I walked the Corby Park run with her in February and found I was very unfit despite walking miles each day with my dog. My husband is not interested in running or cycling which is my other passion. Living where I do in North Wales I am very lucky to live very close to two cycling tracks. Hoping you get running fit soon xx
