Arrrrrgh. Hip niggles and tech issues

Slept in this morning so I was up and out pretty quickly. I trotted up the hill slowly with the wind in my face and thought this is quite nice but then the hip started grumbling. I tried to slow down and go gently but whilst this eased the hip after a few minutes my ankle started complaining Then my music stopped. ☹️🤔☹️🤔. I walked for a few minutes to try to sort out the music and give hip and ankle a rest and then started again very slowly. Managed a 20 minute run/walk but now feel annoyed about my lack of running. I can’t seem to get much passed 20 minutes atm and I’m getting frustrated. ☹️☹️🤔🤔🤔

Oh the joys and frustrations of running !The tech issues can be really frustrating even without the other niggles so well done on getting 20 minutes in .

It's better than 20 minutes on the sofa so don't be too hard on yourself 🙂

I suppose you’re right. It’s just frustrating at times.

Those sorts of runs are an absolute pain. Tech is blessing and a curse.

Hope things take a turn for the better. I totally agree that a twenty minute run/walk is still a good run and definitely better than not running at all. At times when I’ve struggled, I’ve found it helpful to plan shorter runs and extend when I’m feeling good rather than cutting longer ones short when they’ve not been going that well. Psychologically that’s much nicer for me!

These ones certainly help us for the runs ahead of you. You don't always see it at the time but every outing helps. Here's to progress coming 🙌

Are you seeing a physio about your hip Scruff55? My OH was having problems and he has found that the prescribed exercises do help. He has also found that some of the exercises he thought would help , exacerbate the problem.

I have osteoarthritis in my hip and had an injection last November. But no one mentioned exercises I’ll look up some physios locally I think thanks for the idea.
