After posting here last week that I had just missed out on running sub 40mins by 13 seconds I received lots of encouragement that I would achieve the sub 4O! thank you. On Wednesday I went out to run my 7k and at 5k Strava said 40mins and 2seconds! I decided to laugh at this point. Well when I had competed the 7k it was my fastest time yet at 55.10 but the last 5k of the 7k was 38.55, did this count I asked my hubby and daughter, they said yes it did. I was thrilled. On Friday I went to run my 10k and the first 5k was 39.49 and my 10k fastest time yet at 1.21.
My 5k run today was my fastest time yet 38.27. So if anyone is a running tortoise like me take heart it can be done - wow what a week of PR๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐

Loved reading this. What a week you have had. Take it all as these runs and weeks are the signposts to look for when the miles are tough. Great stuff!!
