I realised by the end of last week that I had an issue with my email and had no email notifications from health unlocked for a whole week π I've been slowly getting closer to that 10k target, finished week 5 with 8k on Saturday 8.02km in 1:03:59, 3 minutes quicker than the previous week π very happy- majority zone 3, fastest k the last one at 7'22". 4 to 5k was a low point and I was struggling on a slog of a stony track at an incline, but I finished on nice, flat tarmac π I did my 4k to an NRC interval training run, fastest k 7' 10" - not quite setting light to the track- more warming it up slightly π¬ but I'm trying to push my boundaries! I then managed a 5k in 36'41" a pb with a pb k of 6'54" - I felt really good about it π and am going to try and improve my 5k time as a project after the magic plan..... week 6 will be starting with quite slow intervals......
Slowly still going with the magic plan week 6 - Bridge to 10K
Slowly still going with the magic plan week 6
Wow, well done - youβre doing great! Amazing πππ
Many thanks for the encouragement Jools - just checked you out after being excommunicated for a week and you are going some πππββοΈπ
Love all of this ππππ
Boooooom! Sounds awesome. Some real highlights here and things to be proud of too. Keep going, you're doing so well.
You are SO positive GTFC- thanks for the encouragement π my pb's are SO slow- but I'm very proud of them- a lot of progress compared to my former, couch potato, self ππββοΈ
Absolutely because there's always something to be positive about π
Do not worry about being or feeling slow at all and remember never to compare. You be you and that'll be epic enough. I run slow mostly too and I'm comfy with it. As you gain experience you can look at challenging those pb's when you have more in your armoury. To go out regularly and run because we can really is the biggest prize. Hopefully you like longer runs too as going steady really helps with this. Keep going ππππ
You are doing great! Impressive times too. Won't be long until that magic 10 is under your belt.
Hi Fiona and thank you for the encouragement π I'm focussed on the distance for the magic 10k and will worry about style and times when I get there π€£ I'm very happy to find that there's a little bit of improvement along the way though- lovely surprise πI'm going to run this afternoon before the sun disappears π planning those slow intervals... πββοΈ
