Off the beaten track.......

Ok so I can see the attraction of running trails 🙃 they're definitely more challenging (footwear under review👍)...

I missed not running yesterday I was at a loose end until work called. So today I was up spritely, fed and watered and laced up and out.

No time nor distance in mind just, a run, going wherever my tootsie's wanted to go.

Now I've walked the dog up through the woods but never ran so hey, why not. Noticeably harder going, and it keeps the mind sharp watching your footing but it's kinda good. Oh and very steep 🥵, no shame in stopping for a drink.

This I think may have appeal we shall see 🙄.

Happy running you lot stay healthy and safe and run maintaining your distance 👍

It's lovey to see the photos of your run. I'm missing running out in the woods and on the heathland commons where I live at the moment, so to read that you enjoyed your trail running today was a boost. Running in places like this is great - I love being surrounded by nature, the change of surface and gradient and the anticipation of what lies around each turn in the track. I'm really glad that you enjoyed today's trail run and it sounds like you could be easily persuaded to return to them soon.

Meanwhile I am resting up the sore shins, keeping the RICE advice going and enjoying my yoga, so life is still good.

Thanks DD glad you liked it and your sensible to rest up....👍 And at least you have your yoga complete with mini yogi student to while away the hours in lockdown 🙂 I can now see the appeal of the trails 🤪

I really miss my trails, so thanks for taking me out on yours 🙂 I find trails much more interesting but you do need to pay closer attention for tree roots and uneven ground. It’s a good workout though.

Lovely photos... *sigh* ☹️

Ohhhhh I'm sorry you're missing your trails IP are they too far and you cant travel? But I'm sure they'll be waiting for your return 👍

Mrs Wife sighed and mentioned I'd be needing more trainers 🙄

I’d have to drive to them but all will be good in the end. I haven’t driven for about 5 weeks!

Don’t forget we need to see a piccie of any new shoes, it’s the law 🙂

in reply toIrishprincess

That's a blow IP but as you said all will be good eventually 👍🙂,

Trail shoes are a mystery may need shop advice, but really it's not essential travel even if open 😬 ..... eBay is ok but I'd like to try on for size 🙃

Even though I run trails I don’t own a pair of trail shoes but those who wear them swear by them.....mind you the day I found myself flat on my face was the day I thought I should get a pair. But I still haven’t 🙄

Hmmmm I think there's a moral in that posting IP

Lovely run lmc. It’s fun trying out trail running, but you’ll certainly appreciate some trail shoes. They offer so much more grip. One of my pre-Covid19 dog walks is in the woods too - and, like yours, very steep in places. I miss going there.

Keep enjoying your runs. 😀

Yes hopefully soon. I’m still able to run regularly, unfortunately without my little pal. 🐾 She gets plenty of walks though, she’s being very spoilt! ❤️
