Nice start... great job out there. As for what to count... I’d count everything and get that medal, you can enjoy the personal challenge of hitting 874 miles just running all by yourself as a side game.
Wow, you're off to a flying start! I think it's a very personal choice what is right for you. I am planning to include my walking (not all steps, just logged run activities) as I'm still a new runner and don't want to push too hard. Just now I'm running about 15-20k per week counting warm-ups, though I expect the magic plan will help increase that, so even if I'm a bit under 27k a week at the start I should be able to catch up later. Hopefully this will be manageable while still challenging. If you're doing enough running that it would be a good challenge for you to run the whole way, I imagine that would be more satisfying.
