Actually did 9.1k as my Strava messed up, the audio commentary bit didn’t work. Never mind, did the distance and a bit more for luck👍

Brilliant! And Strava has failed me a few times. Frustrating. But look at you go, runner! 🏃‍♀️👏👏👏

I wonder if something went wrong with Strava yesterday, neither UpTheStanley nor me had vocal info on it at Parkrun yesterday morning.

I missed the commentary, especially the pace info. Had to go into the app and reset stuff, now it seems ok. Good luck with yours👍

Yes all reset again now, but I have bought myself a garmin watch which should give me what I want on my wrist instead of playing about with my phone.

Enjoy! I’ve got an Apple 3 watch, I get my miles from that and the kilometres from my phone. The Strava commentary comes out in metric, it’s very useful with the distance, and pace. Keep on at it.

Thanks upagumtree. I was looking at the Apple Watch but to be honest I couldn’t justify the cost at this stage.

The only reason I went for the Apple Watch was because I can see messages discreetly without having to ferret around for the phone. Hubby was mugged on holiday, and so that’s what made up my mind.

Sorry to hear that Upagumtree, yes I can see what you mean. Unfortunately it seems to happen all to often now. Yes my Garmin will send me notifications from my phone too but I’ve switched that bit off as I’ll be mainly using it for running and I don’t think I ever get anything that can’t wait until after my run. I know that’s not the situation for everyone though, with family and work issues.

I will see how I get on with my watch beeping me with alerts every 500m instead of Strava talking to me. It’s all a case of trial and error at the moment.

One day I didn’t have any tech on and just ran for the sake of running 🏃‍♀️

I’m normally an understanding quiet person, but we were completely convinced this gypsy woman was the thief that I made her own up and give back what she had stolen.
