Finally managed to get out for a Canicross run. With my friend D and her dogs for company/moral support/first aid in case of ankle not behaving for me.
Ankle actually held up brilliantly, so at least I donβt have to be worried about that for Sunday.
It stayed sunny for us the whole run, and only rained and hailed while we were eating brunch in the tea rooms.
Sunshine is out again now π€« but donβt let it know that we know.
Plenty of stopping and starting meant 4.6k in 40 minutes(ish). But there was lots of speedy stuff in between π

Good run for you today Maddee 6333, nice to know that your ankle held up brilliantly, it can rain and hail as much as its wants to, as long as you were in the tea room, that is fine.
I have seen that at parkrun, a runner being pulled by his dog, the runner has the lead strapped right around his waist with the dog ahead, I don't think that would be allowed at a paid for running event where the runner has a number.
Several trail running events organisers also allow Canicross entries - we generally have to start at the back or have a completely separate start time. Any advantage we have because of the dogs is generally negated by the need for doggy pee/poo/water breaks.
