It’s exactly six weeks to the day that I was running along the canal towpath and moved over slightly for a cyclist coming in the opposite direction. The result was my foot slipped off the edge of the slightly raised path and I sprained my ankle. 2.42km maybe doesn’t seem much to get excited about but this was my first successful pain free test run today. Needless to say I’m a happy bunny and am looking forward to getting back out again in a day or so and slowly building up my distance again.
Finally back after six weeks off . . . - Bridge to 10K

Absolutely fantastic! The perfect comeback run. So glad you’re back again!
Painful injury, it's good you are back and today's run pain free
Really encouraging post, well done on this comeback run!
Welcome back.... well done on that return run! Hopefully,.no more low-flying cyclists on your routes now!
Well done. Coming back from injury is tough. Slow but sure wins the day. Don't rush it. Enjoy and celebrate the victories.
I am just one run ahead of you in my comeback from a four week lay off. I am being similarly cautious. 3k on Sunday, 4K on Tuesday, maybe 5k today if my legs feel up to it….all at my slow “easy” pace. No point in pushing it and sliding back down the IC snake. Hope it goes well for you 👍
Woo-hooooo 👏👏 A big step today (literally) and you can begin to build. Best wishes moving forward.
