Feeling bad I've not been reading and responding to posts in the last week. I was skiing last week in Italy- running is seriously good for ski fitness. Had a bad skiing crash last Wednesday when someone skied into mr. Landed on my shoulder. It turns out skiing movement wasnt affected. It's only now I'm home I realise I cant lift things, open doors etc. Glad my injury got priority right and allowed me to ski. Nothing broken, strapped up and got physio. That and snow/ice preventing me running. Madly busy with people viewing our for sale house and all that moving location after 33 years involves means less time on this forum at the moment. I am thinking about you all and hopefully get back to "normal" service in next few weeks. Happy running

Thank you - ski crash. I'll edit post. Someone skied into me at high speed and I landed on shoulder. Was able to ski test of week as it turns out that movement is ok. It's all the normal things I cant do like lifting, hanging washing, opening car doors 🤣🤣🤣

I'm happy to hear your accident wasn't too bad and I hope you are back to running very soon. I moved last year and was a bit stressful, so take it easy (though for me it was stressful because of my former landlord...)

I’m so sorry to hear about your shoulder GTB - hope it starts to heal up soon! Good luck with the house move - I spent years moving every 2 or 3 years and it was a nightmare every time. I’ve been in this house 20+ years now and although I’think’ I’m quite good about not hoarding stuff, the reality is that moving now would be horrendous! So I really feel for you - but you know we’re all right there with you whether running or moving house!

Thank you, hubby has more packing to do than me, I’m always clearing out. Patience required, a bit like working through c25k🤣

Fortuitously nothing broken & able to finish your skiing ⛷ Expect the adrenaline rush carried you through. Good luck with your house move, 33years is a lot of history to sieve through but you’ll take the good memories with you. You’ll soon be running again picking out new routes from your new location. Wish you a speedy recovery 👍😊

Take care. Sounds like you should be supervising the clearing and packing! How was the snow? We're supposed to be going the week after next but haven't booked anything yet because the snow doesn't sound great.

There hadnt been fresh snow for a few weeks but every run had man made snow on it. This turned to moguls on particularly busy runs but could easily be avoided. Very hard base - sharp skis are the key. Hope you get away, enjoy.

I'm hoping we don't go! It's really hubby's thing. I'd rather we go walking somewhere - safer 🤣

Glad you had a great ski trip but sorry to hear about you accident. 💐Moving is very stressful even when it’s a happy one! We look forward to your posts again in due course. Meantime keep up the physio and hopefully by the time the weather improves you will be able to run again. 🤗

Hoping to run soon just not so much time at the moment to spend on here as I used to. I'll be back. Take care

No worries GTB, the usual suspects will be here when you are able to lavish your attention on us once more 😊 Been pretty wet and windy up here all week, so running has been an exercise in grit and determination rather than fun. Best bit is the “just showered “ glow post run! Heal quickly and well 👍

Thank you, pretty wild out here. Was leading my walking group today. Managed to find a 3 mile walk with cafe in middle and end. Perfect😉
