Hi all. First of all, sorry for being a stranger to this forum these last 6 months. We had a wonderful season for skiing here in Switzerland, but of course that made running pretty difficult, with snow right down to the valley floor all winter.

Having graduated C25K last July, and with Juju's B210k plan getting me regularly running 10k last autumn, I naturally wanted to get back to running this spring. But where to start? I decided the safest thing to do was to start C25K all over again. I confess I found the weight loss quite addictive last year (was 100+kg, now 80kg) and although I haven’t put much of it back on over the winter, it would be lovely to lose a bit more. I love my waist 32 jeans!

Anyhow, I completed C25K again last month, did my 5k consolidation, and now I'm here on the bridge again, using a slightly modified version of Juju's plan.

I'm trying hard not to raise my training load by too much, so I only increase my weekly total by 1km a week.

Chapeau to all the runners who kept going all winter, and good luck to everyone this summer. I usually include a pic with the nonsense I post on here, so here's me on the infamous Lauberhorn World Cup downhill course just above our village (having a breather), me again toiling away doing C25K once the snow had melted, and Mrs t_m on my normal running path in our snowy valley.

.

Welcome back Mike! I did wonder where you had got to, but obvious really 🤦‍♀️ We had a fantastic week in Alpe d’Huez in February with a great snow base and sunshine all the way (I even managed to ski Sarenne -17km black run!). I envy you having Wengen etc on your doorstep. Glad you’re back into running and look forward to more breathtaking photos!

Great to see you back. I had a few months off too but am back out again. I’ve decided I’ll just stick with 5k though. Impressive weight loss there! Look forward to your tales in the next few weeks.

How lovely to hear from you again Mike. And what a good idea to quietly work your way back through c25k. I hope you found it easier this time round.

Onwards and upwards as my OH says.

Many thanks for all the greetings. I'll work my way through my 10k plan, and hope to share some of my story on here. Thanks again for being the most supportive running forum on the planet.
