Still here and loving it. I’ve just realised I’ve not posted anything for a while. I do still read posts and I thank you all for those as they really help with the motivation. 🥰

My gp diagnosed me with excercise induced asthma with the breathing under control it was time to start focusing on the running again. I had kept going with 5k just slower and felt I was going backwards with the fitness.

I have booked a 5k cross country 100 acre wood ( Winnie the Pooh medal) to do with my teen daughter 4 April . Then 24th April my 1st 10k the Abp in Southampton with a friend which is my runniversary.

I went out for a run yesterday afternoon with no goal in mind smashed my 5k time felt good so carried on to complete the 10k in 1hr 6 mins. Feeling great.

The furthest I’ve got so far is 13.5k so I think the next goal has to be 10 miles. Can’t believe it’s not quite a year yet. So excited 😆

Running has changed my life. Happy running to everyone 🏃‍♀️

Great that you have been able to control your asthma and progress with your running🙂. Sounds as though this may have helped with those running times too - great 10k time! Good luck as you work towards that 10 mile goal too - btw the very wonderful Great South Run in Portsmouth is a fantastic 10 miler in October!?👍🙂

Thank you so much x

The great south run is definitely on the bucket list. I’m going to see how the race in April goes. Then my name might just go down for it xx so exciting x

Great you're still out running and hope everything feels better.

Good luck for the 5k and 10k runs in April, you'll have to post about it then with a photo of your medals.

Good luck 🤗🤗

Thank you xx

You have done so well managing your asthma and keeping going. Sounds like a great idea to do the GSR and you are so close to 10 miles already!!

I started C25K in June and got to 10k in December. I have signed up for the GSR. I haven’t run much the last couple of months so need to get back on it.

I might look up your Southampton 10k as I live just outside Winchester.

Happy running.

Thank you I struggled for a little while there and felt like my fitness was going backwards. My parkrun times were getting longer not shorter lol 😆

Sounds like you had a great running year last year. Amazing achievements xx

I’ve found having races coming up keep me motivated and have accepted that not all runs are great. I’ve found lots of things factor into that.

Not sure why 10 miles seems crazy! But hoping finishing the 10k with a little bit left in the tank will be the confidence kick I need to just go for it xxx

You can definitely do it. You’ve already done 13.5k and 10 miles is 16.1km. Definitely one to consider 😀
