My first Christmas Day run

Ready at 5.30am for 6am run with my son. More houses than usual had their lights on but they were soon behind us as we headed for the countryside. The Dark Moon πŸŒ‘ spread its inky blanket over the fields & it was difficult seeing each other. Very quiet morning. Ran east for awhile into the blackness. At our predetermined point, turned our route westwards towards the breaking dawn. Wasn’t prepared for its beauty, the sun’s rays streaming across the sky with South Downs perfectly silhouetted against the magnificence. Thoroughly enjoyed my first Christmas Day run as it set the tone for the whole enjoyable day. Hope you all had a great day πŸ₯³πŸ‘πŸŽ„πŸŽ…Merry Xmas

Thanks Irishprincess, it’s a great activity to be enjoying together. The whole family is getting involved & we’re changing our diet & health to suit our improved fitness. Looking forward to the New Year & where our journey takes us. How is your Xmas? πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

That all sounds just brilliant! Our health is the most important gift we have.

I’m having a lovely but busy Christmas thanks and I’m having to military-plan my runs in between various visitors and family staying! But all is good πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Thanks Grannytobe, I’m normally weary on Xmas Day due to the big build-up but not this year! We’re running again tomorrow at 6am before visiting other family. Finding myself consuming less & sleeping more. This running malarkey brings so much positivity πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Very nice, and on top of the running experience, you enjoyed the beautiful landscape and your son's companion.

Thanks for the wonderful report.

Thanks Elisabeth3, he’ll soon be off discovering new things but really enjoyed his companionship, made warm memories for us both and all centred about running πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
