First training run with my grandson this morning, what a difference the age gap makes! We had a good steady run around the coastal path of the west side of Portsmouth and there's me at the beginning telling him if he needs a walk break to let me know! ๐ฅ From the off I was playing catch up and he had to slow down so I could catch him. On our return run we used the lamposts for intervals and on the fast runs he was gone and there's me trying to catch up again, out of breath, I sure was!๐ But thoroughly enjoyed our 3.83 miles in 35 mins. Pic taken at the half way point. It was a lovely morning for a run and we both enjoyed ourselves. Happy running all. ๐
Sorry about the upside down photo don't what happened there?

He's an excellent swimmer and I thought I'd have the edge over him running, in my dreams though ha ha!! No we were running along the coast of Portsmouth, Australia I wish ๐ค! It was great to run with him, have a lovely weekend Chris! ๐ xxx
Ha ha! Great Frank! My nephew's started running at the Parkrun I do. He's away, and I keep with him for a bit and said come on! Get a move on! In jest.. but he's a tad faster than me at 20 years younger, and is around in just over 29 mins, so I can't stay with him, but the cheeky so and so is waiting for me at the finish with a big grin & a cup of water!๐
Great picture! Intervals and everything. You are brave. What a great way to spend time with your grandson. I'll be running with my 16 year tomorrow in a race. Should be interesting.
Thank you, we have a couple more runs together arranged, I know what to expect now! ๐ Hope you have a great time with your 16 year old in the race, hope you post the outcome? Enjoy your race, happy running.
