I have been putting off the 7k run for the Week 3 of JuJu's Magic Plan until this morning. It was a really chilly nose dripping start but by the 5th km I was enjoying the run so much that I hadn't realised I literally ran out of road! The route I planned should be just over 7k but the reality turned out to be 300m too short. If I had noticed it sooner, I would've ran an extra lap at the park 2k ago. It was too late when I got to my destination at 6.7k where I was running on the road next to buses because there were too many pedestrians.
Note for next week's 8k run: choose a better route!

Oops, been there, ended up doing loops of a car park quite a few times. Well done on your progress and good look on new route. I'm searching for my 9 and 10 k routes, tricky as I'm fed up doing circuits.
Yeah I find doing laps mentally quite tiring for me so I try to always do a loop. Unfortunately today was a straight route so I’ll definitely find a new location for the 9 and 10k later in the plan too. A problem I’ve never in my wildest dreams ever anticipated 😅
Good luck with that, my 9k is Thursday and think my route will take me over main roads and railway lines and canal locks, all planned round excuses to stop on what will for me be a very long run. Oh and there is a lovely cafe at the end.
😂 Sorry to laugh but you know you're in the zone when you haven't noticed running out of road! Sounds like a great run, despite the chilly start and the lack of path at the end. ☺
Oh dear, how annoying. I know how you feel. I’ve ended up running round the block a couple of times before just to make up the distance to a nice round number! It’s great that you were so much in the zone you didn’t notice 😂
I’m sorry to hear you guys are stopping the magic for the time being. I hope it’s been a good ride and that you will come back stronger in spring when the weather is kinder 💕
Thank you, yes we will be back in spring, we still run twice or three times a week but we were running for longer and longer and as i’ve just been increased to full time hours i felt i was pushing us too hard too soon, so it’s back to aiming for 30 minutes3 times a week and having some fun adding in some sprints that get longer
