Started 6th September and have finished week 3 with one or two runs missed, holiday runs negotiated and 7k achieved on Thursday π still feeling EPIC, 1:00:59 so I ran for my first hour πββοΈπ took it very slow to give myself the best chance of covering the distance 43.31 for 5k.
Now I need to get myself out there this afternoon for the first run of week 4 - it's nice and cool and a short run doing intervals beckons ππββοΈ

Thank you Roxdog - all encouragement gratefully received- I'm starting to believe I will be able to run 10k π reckon I need some decent shoes about now- started in some old trainers and graduated to some Adidas running shoes in the summer sales- I think it's time to get a little more serious πππββοΈ
Thanks HappyNoodle π It's a really good feeling to get such encouragement- It felt fantastic to do the 7k as it sounded daunting- but I really enjoyed it π I feel really positive about the coming week - and looking forward to finding out about new running shoes! π
Sounds like itβs all going to plan π Well done for an hour of running ππππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ And definitely treat yourself to some running shoes π
Thanks Jools π it's going to plan. I had realised that 7k was likely to take me around an hour but it was a lovely surprise to realise that I had actually run (slowly) for an actual hour π€£ I reckon I've earned a pair of running shoes πππ€
I soooooo... crashed and burned yesterday π¬ long sleeved top - mistake- white toast for breakfast instead of usual Greek yoghurt and banana- mistake- white bap with bacon and egg for lunch- not so great π¬ despite not feeling tired after Thursday's run and leaving two rest days I got 2.2 km down my usual track and legs were not co-operating πͺ breathing not a problem but walked home disappointed- boohoo- not feeling great today - a bit below par and think I need a rest in general. Intend to apply a bit of pampering for a couple of days and tickle up the old constitution. Family circs are a bit challenging atm and post (very refreshing and active) Lake District holiday have got to pull back up to my full height and get stuck back in......πββοΈπ
Well at least you went out, all that delicious but rather empty food didnβt give you the energy you needed but we arenβt perfect and sometimes just have to relax and eat what we want for a day instead of keeping to healthy options
We ran Saturday, had a lovely at home in the rain day Sunday and after quick discussion decided not to run after work today so cooked instead
a you are faster than us and a week further forward on the magic plan so you are doing great
Thank you for being so encouraging π€ I'll get going again tomorrow or Wednesday, enjoy a run yourselves tomorrow after a well earned couple of days rest ππ€
Thank you PhoenixRise π I did 5k yesterday 5.07km in 42 minutes- 5 minutes slower than my PB, but I'm pleased I ran and felt good for it ππdisappointed with the previous run where I crashed and burned a couple of k in so consciously took it slowly. Onward and upward tomorrow hoping to nail another 7k π€πββοΈ
Wow, that's fantastic! I also hit 7k on my first 60min run πππ₯³π€ΈββοΈ I'm also working up to 10k although not following the magic plan anymore - I completed the time version so now I'm just extending my long run by 1k each week. We got this πͺπββοΈ
