Well I did it, a week ahead of schedule...set off for 9K and it all went reasonably well considering the on off rain and the fact that as it was dry when I set off I forgot my baseball hat!
I seemed to find the torrential rain between 7 and 8.5K a distraction so 9 came round sooner than expected and the temptation to carry on was too much...I hit 10K at 69:29 with an achy hip and a big smile πββοΈππ
After stretching out and a warm bath all aches have gone and I'm feeling pretty damn good if a bit shattered π

There's a 5K around a lovely hilly Loggerheads Country Park that I haven't yet conquered without walking up half of the last hill and 90 steps! I'm thinking I'll alternate my Sunday runs between this and a long one until I've got it beat π€¨
Congratulations Run46, that is what happened to me also, I had meant to run a 9K, but because if a glitch on my Smartphone ended up running my first 10k, well done π ππΎ π, you are now a π GRADUATE π 10
Thanks Al, I must get on the pinned post and ask for my graduation badge...and mustn't forget those chocolates I promised myself when I got to 10K either π
Yes, but my first 10K time was 73.03 against your 69.29,πππΎ however, I ran my third 10K in about the same time as you in a time of 69.23ππΎπ
Hey this is fantastic! And great timing, well done and sounds like youβre all relaxed now you are home and dry. It always feels amazing getting the long run out of the way, itβs also the most personally rewarding run in the week too.
Where has the time gone, itβll be the last week next week β€οΈ
I feel great now JaoJao, it's been a really difficult week and I have to say this has really given me a lift I needed...running is awesome! πββοΈππ
Well done and a good time too. I think I have accidentally hit all of my distance targets since 5k. Sneak up on them when they are not looking! Never fails πππππππ₯π₯π₯π₯
Thanks Stephen, I bet loads do it, it's just so tempting! π
Will do, am thinking a 5K country park run next Sunday instead of a long run. It's hilly with a bunch of steps but varied, lovely views and only half the length π
