Hi All i have just completed C25k and now want to develop my running further. Is there an app which follows on from C25k? I have downloaded a couple from app store but they are very Americanised and don’t have the coaches that the C25k had. Apologies ic this question has been asked before, but a t recommendations? Thanks Jane

No apps but there are several podcasts on Bridge to 10K
Any of the tracking apps should be able to drive the runs on the magic plan that is here on the pinned posts. I don’t rate any of the 10k apps I’ve seen as they are either paid, or have you running 3x10k a week, and personally I don’t think that’s the best way to get to 10... plus I’d struggle to find 3 time slots in my week that are long enough, especially over the winter.
Hi thanks for your reply, I am new to the group and am not sure what you mean by the magic plan? Thanks
It’s the one here healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...
The post was for a lead group which is ongoing, but the plan can be started any time. It contains optional strengthening work, which I would highly recommend doing or some other strength work alongside the running.
Hiya I feel exactly the same so continued with Jo wiley my coach on the c25k gradually running on the 5 minutes walking and cool down. I could not find anything I liked so now run 40 to 45 minutes just with music in my eyes.
Just wish there was a follow on but at least I have continued 3 times a weekxx
If you want some in ear coaching sometimes, the Nike run club app has guided runs with some legendary runners and other inspirational coaches and is 100% free. They have runs from 5 minutes to 2 hours at comfortable pace, as well as runs that play with speed and also cross training... they even have a guided half marathon!
Ears not eyes😅😅
The Bridge 2-10k pinned post called JuJu’s Magic Plan, which other people have mentioned, has been great for me. I am a cautious soul, so I used the time-based version which gradually extends running time up to an hour. I’m still not at 10k, so am now picking up the distance-based version for moving on, plus some interval speed work with an app called JogRunSprint. But these are guides to runs, rather than coaching. 😄
I was the same. After C25K I used the time version of the magic plan to get me to an hour (and running 8k in that hour). At that point, I went back to whichever week of the distance plan had 8k as its long run and started the distance version from there.
I think many find the transition from 30 minutes (if they are running 3-4k at graduation) to 10k a bit daunting, so building to 60 minutes first, and then progressing to 10k makes it seem more manageable, even if it takes a few weeks longer.
I had the same issue. I’ve downloaded the 10K app with red background. It’s Americanised so maybe the one you already have but I find it useful to gradually build up rather than having to do it on my own and either look and time or distance. Wish there was a U.K. one though. Good luck!
Thanks for that
