Does anyone know the best app for an iPhone to track how many KMs your doing and do you need to pay for them? I can’t seem to work it out on the apple heath as it breaks the KMs up doesn’t show a consistent length I’ve ran.
Thanks you

I don't have an iPhone but in most devices at 'settings' you can select whatever distance you want, you can go from Kilometres to miles, in kilometers you can select from 500 metres, 1K intervals and so on, not sure what the best app is, but most apps do have a free version.
MapMyRun. There’s also MapMyWalk and MapMyRide (for bicycling), or MapMyFitness. The only difference is which activity is the default. For MapMyWalk, it defaults to “walks” but you can manually change the label to be a “run”. Same with all the others.
I personally use MapMyWalk and don’t even bother to change the labels on the activity from “walk” to “run”, the labels don’t really matter, I just care that I exercised!
I have Mapmyrun, walk and ride, the Mapmywalk part tells you how many steps I take, the Mapmyrun doesn't, I ran one of my 10K runs using Mapmywalk and it told me how many steps I took.
Strava is one of the most popular.
Strava. Free version.
I bought a Garmin watch which is great, a not too expensive Garmin Forerunner 35. It uploads onto Garmin Connect and automatically onto Strava after each run, it’s a great way to track your kilometres and runs.
Strava is good too as you can upload photos and even link with fellow runners.

Thank you. Do I need a watch for Strava or can I just use it
It will work with the gps on your phone. If you continue to run long term a watch is handy. Because you just press start and stop then download onto Strava via Bluetooth.
But it will work great on your phone too. It’s just a bit of a hassle taking your phone out of a running belt, entering a password pressing start, putting the phone back into the running belt and then repeating at the finish line. But it works great on the phone. It’s a really nice app.

Definitely Strava
Hey, I use the Nike running app (NRC). Each run it records my route map, distance in km’s, Shows my pace per lap etc. It also has loads of running programmes. You can add your friends and family to a leaderboard for motivational competition too
I would just try out a few of the apps and see which you prefer.
Strava is free for basic use and is quite user-friendly.
I really like the Nike app (NRC) - you can set your goal in kms, it lets you know when you complete each km and average time as you go and you can your own music (which is essential for me.
Nike running club, simply as it is idiot proof and has quick start for either time or length of run. Free easy Appand technology and I struggle to get along ☹️
I use Runkeeper. It’s free.
