Have been missing from here for a while now and just wanted to say to everyone enjoy your parkruns and events today and a shout out to Sandi1961 and everyone else doing the Loughborough Wine Run. Wish I was running today I drove down from Belfast Friday morning and we’re currently in Enniskillen, which is I’ve heard is a very picturesque parkrun but I underestimated how hard it would be to run and visit family and fit in sightseeing, but that’s not a complaint. We’ve been out from morning to night, touring, walking lovely parks and photographing amazing scenery having an amazing time, although I’ve been unable to shake a head cold and sore throat which I’ve had since Boston. We were in Fivemiletown yesterday having a Guinness in a pub once owned by a cousin, drinking with some of the locals, who remembered my family who hailed from there and there was much merriment about my family’s famed red hair! By the time we left they were on the whiskey! Real Irish characters. Hard to believe 6 weeks has already gone by, but we have two left and a stay in Wilmslow coming up next week. If anybody can make the Wilmslow parkrun on the 21st it would be amazing to meet you. Happy running everyone 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️🥰 xx

Whats The Craic Then?
Happy running. I’m sat in my car getting ready to run my 51st parkrun in Mount Lucas. Enjoy the rest of your time in Ireland.

Nice to hear from you lexi6 I am so happy to know that you are enjoying your holiday in N. Ireland, no parkrun for me today, however, at the moment I am travelling by train with my running shoes on, about 10.05 am I am going to run for 20 minutes along the promenade at Helensburgh, that is the place I ran my graduation run last year, it will bring back memories of that memorable day. 😊 🏃 🎓 when I graduated 🎓, have a great day. 👍😊
Hiya AlMorr, what lovely memories to have. Have a lovely run there 🏃♂️👍
Update, 10.42am, Hi Lexi, I am now on the train coming back from my 20 minutes run along the promenade at Helensburgh, I began the run at 9.55 and it was completed at 10.15, ten minutes earlier than expected, it was a enjoyable run, a bit windy, at times I had to keep holding on to my running cap incase it blew away.
Next week back to parkrun, sorry, the one that you are running is too far away from where I live, I am now going to read all the reports from people who have ran at parkruns this morning.
Have a great day. 😊 🏃
You did well in that wind AlMorr. Very blustery over here today too. Just got back from a lovely meal and my belt has now been loosened and is on the 3rd hole rather than the 4th it was on when I arrived in the UK 6 weeks ago. Oops! 🍀
Lol about your belt Lexi, one thing about my run this morning, normally I walk along that promenade where I ran today, only today and on my graduation run I ran along it, it meant that when I got back to the train station I got a train 30 minutes earlier than when I walk, so I got home for lunch at my normal time, not half an hour late, keep on running as the song goes. 😊 🏃
Hello
I went through five mile town yesterday and stopped in Enniskillen to do a bit of work, it's a beautiful part of the country but I have never been there for leisure.
Where there many parks there?
Not had chance to discover any yet, but I believe the parkrun goes past Lough Erne and the Castle. Its beautiful here, sadly we leave here tomorrow and head to County Louth, which I believe is also beautiful. 🙂
Glad you’ve had a lovely week and that you got your Guinness in the family pub 🍻(wrong colour I know!) Enjoy the rest of your Ireland stay x
Hi Lexi, great to hear an update from you, and that you are enjoying yourselves. So much to see and do!
Guess what, this morning Mr BBr suggested New Zealand as a possible destination to celebrate my 60th birthday next year! 😀😍🙆
I said yes please!❤👫😊xxx
Hi Lexi, glad to hear you are still having a wonderful time catching up with all your folks. Not sure that Guiness would help the running although it’s meant to be good for iron. Enjoy the rest of your stay. 🏃♀️🇳🇿 🇬🇧
I have a bit of colour in my cheeks now Dexy, will have to get back to NZ to dry out! I prefer wine but that Guinness I was assured came from the cellar directly under the bar and it tasted amazing. Its going to take quite a few kms to run this lot off when I get home I fear. 😂
Glad you're having a great time Lexi, you're excused the parkrun since you're full of Guinness 😁
Hi Lexi6, I'm going to try and be there. I've put a deposit down in a car, but won't get it for a week or more. Also away from 'home' currently, so all taking a lot of juggling, but it is in the diary.
Thanks Baddie it will be lovely if you can make it and thats so exciting you’re getting a new car. Be nice having new wheels, although Smartie was a little cutie. 🚗
This may sound a bit daft Lexi, but you never know .........
We will see what we can do 😉
Yes we are on for Saturday Lexi, and it would be so lovely if we could meet BaddieThePirate too. I do hope she can make it.
Glad you are enjoying the trip L And the Uische Beatha of course
Wishing you many happy (Irish) miles
