I was hoping to get to Croydon - lived there for a while in and off during the '90s and I liked it Lot of good people there and it had a real buzz to it, recession hit it hard but glad to see it's still throwing some counter punches
Thanks John, I doubt youβd recognise Croydon now! π³Itβs a lot different but still seems to be a lot of building work on so hopefully itβs on the up π
Hi Dexy, it was my second sub 30 at Lloyd Parkrun. The other was 29:40. π It was my 12th Parkrun overall. I did about 27:30 at Weymouth Parkrun in August, but that course is a lot flatter! π
Thanks Sandra. The 8K cross country π³I did last weekend certainly helped with the steep hill at Lloyd Parkrun today, and theyβve both given me confidence I can do the 10K road race in 2 weeksπββοΈπ. I thought Iβd struggle with the cross country but not so- I just followed the C25K and B210K mantra of βslow and steadyβ and here I am! ππ
What an amazing journey this all is! π
Good luck with your next run πββοΈππ
Thanks Lorijay, Iβm keeping my fingers crossed π€Just going to take it steady for next couple of weeks, then when 10K is done see what I fancy π
At the moment Iβm thinking maybe Half Marathon next year. π³ There, Iβve gone and said it now! π I donβt think itβs unrealistic as long as I keep it all sensible.
Wouldnβt it be great to go from C25K to HM within a year at the ripe old age of 55?? π
Hey I have entered HM for April next year. It's the Boston (Lincs) HM which is supposedly the flattest HM in UK. Although I am doing hill work now I thought I would give myself every chance of completing a HM by choosing flat. I think Maybe58 is also doing it. It will be my 60th in 2019...might be one to consider
