Fantastic, we’re all getting there aren’t we? You must be so proud! How did you find it?

I found it hard and zven though I did my warm down and a hot shower my legs complained for about 30 mins after. My breathing was fine but I was tired : )

My legs were feeling it too, hopefully you’re feeling a nice tired, a I've done good tired.. I hope you don’t feel pressured by us on the forum x

No not pressured, spurred on maybe : )

I really didn't want everyone waiting for me on holiday while I was out trying to finish the programme. That would have been unwanted pressure for me. So I wanted to finish and consolidate before leaving. I will run while away and if I can fit a 10k in I will but it will be because I can not because I am trying to find the time to finish the programme.

Good, it worried me when you said about pressure 😊 I hope you have a lovely holiday and can relax and enjoy knowing you’re a 10k’er! I couldn’t have got through this without you and the other Magic 10’ers, always there with encouraging words especially in my week 7 and 8 doldrums x

Congratulations on running a 10K, if you wish to have the word GRADUATE10 next to your username leave a message on the July healthunlocked C25K Graduation10 homepage and tell the administrators that you have ran a 10K.

Thanks Al, sorry you missed your parkrun because of the rain, hope you manage next week, or perfect the art of changing under a big poncho ; )

I know that park like the back of my hand, I have been going walks there for more than 9 years,( longer than the 4 years that the parkrun has been taking place) , usually on a Friday, apart from bushes and trees there are a series of small caves in certain places that you could 😂 or change clothes without anyone seeing you, however, that part of the park is not where the parkrun is held.

I’m with Clubberlang on this. You should be boasting like mad about that. And according to the plan, you now need to boogie. That’s obligatory, you know.

Seriously, though, what an achievement!

I boogie during my warm up every time. Gets everything moving better than just the warm up walk : ) today's boogie was UB40 Red red wine ; )

It was bloody awful yesterday and not much better this morning but I have been taking some old anti inflammatory tablets that have been in the medicine cabinet for years. The difference is amazing. Am going to make a doctors appointment and beg him to prescribe some more and also get a physio appointment to try and find a more long term solution...

backintime profile image
backintimeGraduate10 in reply to Debston

Ibuprofen has an anti inflammatory effect too I believe.

But do see a physio or at least an osteopath or chiropractor. It may be your hips are misaligned after those heavy pregnancies even if they were a while ago, the running could have shown up an existing condition.

backintime profile image
backintimeGraduate10 in reply to backintime

I had big hip, pelvic problems after my 2nd pregnancy, my osteopath was a godsend. A true miracle worker !

Congratulations BIT on your 10k, hope the milkshake hit the spot!

She had a burger and fries and I had a milkshake lol

Well done backintime 👏👏 That first 10k is really special. Enjoy your trip to the UK. Time to fit in a parkrun?

backintime profile image
backintimeGraduate10 in reply to Sandie1961

I hope to fit in 2 as I will be there for 2 Saturdays :)

My eldest will run them with me (he says) and my youngest wants to do Junior Parkrun.

Forgot to say, you’ll have to let us know which parkrun you are doing in case there are any HU VRBs around, who might drop by to say hello!

backintime profile image
backintimeGraduate10 in reply to Sandie1961

At the moment it will be the Greenwich one, but that looks rather hilly for a first one....if I can persuade someone to give me a lift somewhere flatter (or if I can get my parents to move in the next couple of weeks ;) ) I will start on a slightly easier one lol

Post the dates and venue and see who replies. I’m sure there will be people around who’d like to meet you. Unfortunately I’m in France for the next month 😃

Félicitations ! It feels great to be able to run 10k doesn't it?! Well done for finding the time to get out there & follow the plan. I did the 10k plan last summer but often go back to it and use it to build up to 10k again to get into a better routine.

Have a lovely holiday & enjoy your Parkruns! 🙂

Amazing job! You are definitely helping to inspire me to get back to it, and work my way through 5K and beyond to the big 10, once I have fully shaken off this bug. Enjoy your success.
