Spur of the moment run!

Had no intention of running this morning as I usually swim on Wednesdays but I’m waiting in for new flooring today so my routine is all out the window!! It was getting light so I decided to have a wee short run and get back in time to make sure my teenage son gets out of bed!

I seem to get out the door now with minimal faffage these days and the earlier the better! ( I still feel self conscious stepping out the door! Will that ever go?)

Lovely chill in the air but I soon warmed up, glad to be in t shirt and capris! First half of run was pretty much downhill and I felt good and decided to do my wee ad ons making it a longer run. This includes the playing fields and where I had to walk as I encountered a very jumpy uppy friendly dog!! I say friendly but I wasn’t sure about way it was showing its teeth!! Anyway I managed to get away and continued through the woods which I probably won’t do in darker mornings which miss!

The uphill path out of woods was into the strong wind but I didn’t mind as I knew I was nearly home! It’s almost a year since I began C25K and I still can’t believe how much I’ve improved and the massive physical and mental health benefits I’ve gained from it! 😀🏃‍♀️

I know! It has just happened without me intentionally doing anything different! I am genuinely surprised but it must be doing me some good!!! 😀

Tell me about it. That's why I've taken to running from work at lunchtime whenever possible!

A year of running Sarakc. How great is that? And what a year it’s been with the beast from the east and the heatwave. You’ll be able to run in anything now. Well done you. 🏃‍♀️😃

I'm okay thank you. Trying to get out there when I can, not always easy though. Went out Sunday morning and did a bit of "jeffing" lol 😁 x
