J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge - Done

I started my running journey, about 2-3 months ago, because I lost a lot of weight and had a lot of unspent energy, yet I knew my cardio fitness was poor. So I quickly found Couch to 5K. The programme length also happened to be just in time for the J.P.Morgan run, which is a bit of a tradition at work. So I signed up.

I ran it last night.

It was a little crazy - there must have been 10-20,000 people of all levels. Was very hot, especially in the parts with no shade, and there were narrow points that got very crowded. The organisation was epic with huge numbers of volunteers.

So, this event was one of my main motivators. I still have a lot of fitness and strength to work on, as I turn my previous couch-based life around.

On to new goals...

That sounds huge! Well done - and that number of people must have made it scary (or at least it would for me lol)

Thanks. I'm usually OK with crowds but it was pretty intimidating. Especially when they all started pouring past me. I started near the front of the slowest group. Apparently there were 15,000 people on the day, and there was another the day before that.

A lot of people walked or only ran a small part, so it does mean there were lots of people behind.
