Hi everyone. I'm new to this section of the site so thought I would introduce myself to you. I'm Craig, a 42 year old happily married father of two from West Yorkshire. I graduated the Couch 2 5k program in mid-February of this year at present I regularly run just over 5km in 35 minutes. I've been doing this for 3 or 4 weeks and am now looking ahead to the next step- that being the mystical 10k. I have had the Zen Labs Fitness Couch to 10k Running Trainer app recommended to me, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice? I am ideally looking for something as similar as possible to the One You Couch 2 5k app (which was fantastic and actually worked!) I've searched this site but nothing seems to 'leap out' as an ideal program. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Regular 5k runner looking to double that distance!!
Why don't you join us on doing Ju-Ju's Magic 10k running plan, it's an 8 week plan, no app but it works (apparently 😊) and theres loads of support and advice here. Have a look at the pinned posts on here. We're just 1 week on, I'm sure you could start at week 2!
hi. welcome to the forum!
yep I can recommend Ju-Jus plan.... its not an app, but great
good luck and happy running, keep us posted
Welcome driver08uk! 👋👋
Another vote here for ju-ju’s Magic 10. It works 100%. I’m doing it for a 4th time as it’s so much fun. Come and join us! 😀👍
Where in West Yorkshire are you, Craig? I’m in West Leeds 👍
Yay north people
Another vote from me for ju-ju’s Magic 10 plan. Worked for me 😃😃
Looks like the Ju-Ju plan then. I won't be able to start extending my runs until mid-May. I wonder if the program will restart when the 8 weeks is up. Does it run in cycles?
It does run in cycles, one has just started, but I am doing it at a time and pace that suits me so you can follow the plan whenever you like. It’s very flexible: I can often only run twice a week so more often than not skip a short run but fit it in as often as I can. I’ve stayed at 7-8k for a few weeks as that feels right at the moment but need to push on to 10k over the coming six weeks or so. Good luck with it!
I just added 10 per cent (sometimes more) per week. I’m of a similar age and graduated in January. I actually found playing the week 9 and week 8 podcasts back to back a good measure. First running through the warm down, then the warm down and warm up, the through the first 5 minutes of week 8 (post warm up) and so on until I got to 10k.
Ju-Ju’s Bridge to 10km using Runkeeper to give me distance and pace. Worked for me 😀 Welcome.
