Bridge to 10k, Week 2, another mini victory!

Wasn't sure whether to attempt my 6km or just do my 5km when I set off this morning but something told me to keep going! Really pleased with myself, it was hot but breezy and not humid like my last run. Uphill bits were challenging but I managed to get round without walking, phew! 😌 My lovely pic of the orchards at Sissinghurst didn't load on mapmyrun so this is me cooling off back home! πŸ˜‚ 😎 I ran for 52 minutes! 🐌

How lucky to run at Sissinghurst! 😍

It's so beautiful all year round but looking particularly wonderful at the moment. It's only 5 minutes drive from me, I am really lucky to have it practically on the doorstep.

That’s how i’ve been approaching all the long runs... just get to 5km and then see how I feel. Makes it less daunting. Outstanding stuff Debs, personally I think if you can run 5/6km you can do 10km, now it’s all about training your mind to accept that running for an hour isn’t insane πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚ and thanks clubberlang! A runner friend said to me recently, if you can do 5k you can do 10. Starting to believe it! 🀣

It must be a saying, because i’ve heard a few people say it as well. In fact i’ve probably nicked it πŸ˜‚

Great running Debston!!!. 52mins is some run lol . I take my hat off to you πŸ‘ŒβœŒ

Thanks, GMAN1977! When I started back in March, I struggled hard to run for a minute. C25K is witchcraft, I tell you! ☺

Go you. It doesn't matter how long it takes, so long as you get there and 6k in 52mins is a great effort.

Doing ok so far, 3k tomorrow but I’m out Saturday night so thinking about doing back to back and doing my 7k on Saturday morning instead of Sunday...

Nothing like a 7km run to blow the cobwebs away after a night out... πŸ˜‚ Good luck with it!

Thanks, joggingonthewildside, it's a lovely little part of the country, moved to Cranbrook almost exactly ten years ago and haven't looked back.

Good work, Debs! That’s impressive. Nice route map you have there, too. Looks like an ideal place to be running.

It's a pretty ideal route, it's got a bit of everything, meadows with cows and sheep, a lake, farm tracks and woodland trails. And a National Trust CafΓ© and gift shop. If I could just flatten a few hilly bits, it'd be perfect!

That sounds absolutely idyllic. I hope you’re arranging your runs to end at the cafΓ©.
