Hi everyone...since Graduating C25K 23 days ago I've been keeping up with my consolidation runs, and today I covered 7K for the first time, so I was quite pleased with myself this morning, if not a little tired but in a good way.
So, the plan is to keep on consolidating for the next few weeks, alternating between 5K, 6K and 7K and then hopefully join Juju's 10K plan when it starts over again.
Happy Running everyone 😁

Great running Andy, I have just finished C25K for the second time, after previously injuring myself and having to take a few months off. I intend to do the same, a bit of consolidation then work towards 10K. For your 7K run did you slow the pace or keep to what you have been doing during C25K?
Hi Vision... thanks... I kept my pace pretty much the same as I do for 5K, once I get into my natural flow I find it difficult to slow down as it doesn't feel right, if that makes sense.
Yes I know exactly what you mean, I am much the same, trying to slow down a bit this time though, as that was the cause of my injury last time, constantly pushing myself.
Well done Andy , don’t forget the 10% advice though - increase in weekly distance shouldn’t exceed 10%. Juju’s plan will take you through safely so why not start it and see how you go? Slowing down on the long runs is a good idea though.🏃♂️👏👏
Thanks Dexy... and thanks for the advice regarding the 10% increase, I had forgotten about that. Like you say, I might just start Juju's plan and see how I get on.
Well done Andy, That's my plan too, but Ju Ju's plan doesn't start again until April
I think, but for me at least, that's probably not a bad idea. Think I will maintain a weekly park run and during the week use the treadmill at least once using the programs so I can sort of "interval train" especially with gradients. as it's mostly flat around here🤗
JuJus plan started about 2 weeks ago. In her message was a copy of her whole plan so I printed it off for future reference in case I decide to start it. Do a search for her message.
Thanks Silverfox... I did the same regarding the plan, I think I will just have to start a few weeks behind, but I will muddle on through and see how it goes.
Haha Andy, I am now jealous. You are way ahead of me. I graduated on 5Jan19, and have only managed the first 3 runs of Ju-Ju's bridge to 10K. I am 2 weeks behind and it's only week 3. LOL. Anyway, i did my first 5.5km run this morning, so feel a little smug, if not at the back of the running pack. I will finish bridge to 10K, just not sure right now which month and year that will be.
