It’s a year since I had a very senior moment and decided to start running and I’m still here! Very average 5k today and it was during it that I realised all my runs fall into the OTA group - OR THERE ABOUTS! I don’t think I’ll ever get to 10K but I’m happy with 30min OTA or 5k OTA. I’m sure there are many of us who haven’t got the time or inclination to commit to longer runs do you want to join me?!

I’ll support the club, but I can’t join until I’ve completed a couple of missions!
I don’t think many of us started C25K thinking it was the start of the road to ultramarathons! For me it was all about my health and fitness. You’re absolutely correct that some don’t have the time of inclination to go further... and that’s ok... we changed our lives and keeping the running going will also extend the life expectancy. That’s what it’s all about really.
I have to go run a marathon because someone said that I can’t do it... then I’m gonna be joining the OTA club, I have no inclination to run more marathons!
That's me exactly! I'm very happy slowly running at a nice steady pace for roughly 5k or 35mins. I go with my dog and like exploring different trails, taking in nature and looking at peoples houses and gardens... I'm an older single mum and it gives me and the dog some exercise while the kids are at football and dance lessons. I've no time or ambition to go any further. OTA all the way!!
I’m a granny looking after grandchildren and started this during my daughter’s maternity leave. Found it more difficult with a 1 year old in tow! You’re my first full member.
Happy runniversary!! Keeping it going is the hardest thing so well done on your first year. I won't join the OTA club just yet. ju-ju- and roseabi are making me do weird things and tell me I'll be running 10k in 6 weeks time. We'll see but I hope I can follow your example and still be running regularly on my runniversary on Sep 1!!
Happy runniversary! You're absolutely right that we all need to find the distance/time that's right for us. Mine is 10k and I'm quite happy with that!😀
Happy Runniversary Sybilw, your OTA club is a great idea. I may be joining Jonathan in the 10k OTA club but will come back to you if it’s all too difficult. I do so enjoy my 5k parkruns. It’s a great distance.
Happy Runniversary! 👏🏼 Some of us haven’t been around this running lark long enough to know what our OTA distance/time is yet. Perhaps you can keep the membership list open for a bit...? 😄
It’s here to stay. It’s a shock to realise you can do this 5k/30min running malarkey but a lot of us find it’s hard to know what to do after the structure of the app. Decided at my age I’m not up for pushing my luck too much further!! Good luck on your journey. See you in the club soon.
Congratulations on your Runniversary! 🍾🥂🏅👏🏻😊🎉👍🌟 💥⚡️ Congratulations too on forming a new club! I'm currently in the trying to build up again after hamstring injury club. No clear idea of how things will turn out or when.
