Congratulations on a fantastic year of running Buddy! You’re right, the forums are invaluable for advice and encouragement, and keep us all accountable.
Here’s to another year of running - and beyond! 🏃♀️👏 🎉 👊
Congratulations, happy runiversary to you Buddy34, pity about your cold that you could not celebrate it with a parkrun this morning, however, you were very wise on not running, it could have made your cold worse, especially in this rainy ☔ Saturday morning.
I managed to get a 30 minute run this morning as the rain went off for a short while, didn't stay off for long, the run was run 2 of week 3 of Ju Ju's Magic 10.
I am a Graduate10 but decided to do the plan as I have not ran a 10K since November 2019.
I usually run on a Wednesday morning, however, next Wednesday I have a eye test at 9.15 am so I intend to run, run 3 of week 3 of the plan which is 44 minutes on Tuesday afternoon.
I will try and fit the shorter 15 minutes run of the plan, probably on Monday
Keep warm and dry-apart from when you take the dog a walk.
Thanks AlMorr and yes that's what I was thinking that I could have been celebrating with a parkrun. But there is no way I could have ran I just don't have the energy .
Nice that we have met twice in person and I hope to join you at Dunfermline parkrun this year. 😊
I will be running at Drumpellier this year, I got a PB there, I hope, some time in March, I might meet you again, it's my second favourite parkrun and during the week, usually a Monday, it's one of my favourite walks,
The reason I make Dunfermline my favourite is for the last 10 years, at least once a month I have gone a walk through that park, always on a Friday, only last year I realised that they held a parkrun there, yes it would be nice if you ran at Dunfermline parkrun some time this year.
What I am now going to do is to read the parkrun reports from runners who took part this morning and have a look, when they come through at the Vitality Parkrun results from Drumpellier and Dunfermline.
Congratulations Buddy34! I too have found your posts very encouraging and supportive at times I have felt I couldn't do it. You're so right, the plan does work, and for me too it's the best thing I've done. Happy running
Happy runniversary!!! 🎉🏃🏼♀️👏🏻 You’ve always been there cheering me on, and you’ve made a huge difference to me, so thank you, and here’s to many more years of happy running!
Everyone is right, you're one of the BEST and a great VFriend as well as VRB.
I've been really lazy about writing just lately *makes mental note to get back to it*, I'll see how my intervals go tomorrow and if I'm shower dodging or just going for it.
Wow - so you chose to START C25K in WINTER, in SCOTLAND?! What a toughie! Thanks for your unfailing support which has been there since I started C25K. Hope you're able to get back out there asap!
Congratulations and a big thanks to you too! You were one of the people that often posted when I was graduating and as we all know that’s a big help in keeping us motivated to carry on.
Congratulations on your Runniversary Buddy, you have achieved so much this year and have been a great support to those following behind you. Celebrate in style. 🥂🍾
Congratulations Buddy! And you’ve been such an inspiration to others on this forum too which is fantastic! Here’s to many more runniversaries to come 🥳👏👏👏
Happy runniversary, Buddy34! What a fantastic year you have had and what an incredible support you have been on this forum. Wishing you another great year of running and looking forward to hearing all about it. ☺
Yes I did and although it was grey skies, no rain / wind. (Different story later in the day!) So I was there for their 200th run and really enjoyed it. No cake though!
