Iโm really quite excited as I have made contact with a local running club and have passed the time test to join. ๐
My induction training is on the 15th July. I will need to also join the British Athletics Association in order to run in the vets league too. They do track sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings. I have only ever once run on a proper running track before! ๐
I really need the focus and the motivation at the moment with all that life is throwing at me and this will do nicely. I must admit Iโm also really quite nervous too ๐ฌ
Hopefully next year Iโll be competing in the league. ๐
And I have yet another excuse to go and buy more running shoes ๐

Blimey - Iโd be lucky to manage it in twice that time! Donโt think Iโll be joining any time soon but it sounds as though youโll have fun! Enjoy!
Iโm really looking forward to it. I think there are more inclusive clubs than this one tbh and Iโll see how it goes as it might be that I find it too competitive.
Good grief, no way could I manage that time. There again, I'd be a disaster on a track, and the idea of competing in a league scares me rigid. I shall pootle on back to my hills and forests โฐ๏ธ๐ฒ ๐ฒ ๐ฒ โฐ๏ธ while wishing you a fabulous time with your new club.
I must admit I have no idea what Iโm getting into but Iโm up for a challenge, I might hate it and end up back on the lonely goat trail. Iโm gonna give it a go and see where it leads. Should be fun I hope ๐๐๐ฌ
Oh thatโs great, I ran in a track many years ago and was way faster than along the road, the structure of training and some competing was great Have fun
Thank you โบ๏ธ Iโd be happy to report back here on how itโs going and pass on any tips or other snippets of useful training information if itโs considered appropriate or relevant for this forum.
