Today I celebrated my 1 year anniversary since starting the couch 2 5k.
And what a difference it has made! I haven’t lost a huge amount of weight (about 3kg) but I have toned up and gone down a dress size. More importantly I feel better. I definitely have loads more energy and zest for life!
My eldest daughter and husband have both started running recently, and my youngest daughter has just taken herself to the gym for a workout. So instead of being a family of couch potatoes we are all on our journeys to a healthier lifestyle. I am proud of them!
So today to celebrate I completed my first virtual run! Challenge - to complete a 5k run. I didn’t beat any records but it was fun. I enjoyed the fresh air, we plodded along, and difference between today and a year ago is remarkable.
Part of it is down to you lot too! The encouragement and support on this forum is incredible , so thank you fellow runners. You are appreciated!

Congratulations Runningsingapore. You've discovered something that has changed your life and to stick with it for a whole year is a fantastic achievement! 😊
Just checked back through Garmin. My C25K W5R1 was around Tanjong Pagar doing a stopover on the way to NZ. Definitely worth packing the trainers when you travel.
