A year ago today, after thinking about it for about three years, I finally plucked up the courage to put my trainers on and go outside. Week 1, run 1 almost killed me. I couldn’t run. I managed 5 of the 60 second runs and even though I had “failed” it felt amazing to have tried. Two days later I went out and tried against and amazed myself even more. Since then I have run two 5k races, a 5 mile race and a 10k race. Today I am on the injury couch but on the mend and itching to get back out there. I’m looking at the Stroke Association Resolution Run in April, I did the 5k this year, shall I go for 10k next year?
Runniversary day: A year ago today, after... - Bridge to 10K
Runniversary day
Good post from you, sorry about your injury, I hope you will be back to running soon.
Many people think that week 1 is the hardest run of the whole program, although some worry a bit about run 3 of week 5, no one has ever said its the worst run of C25K.
Congratulations on your Runniversary. It's amazing isn't it when you think back to how this all started with 60 seconds of running. If you can get back up to 10k before April then I'd say go for it.
😊😊
Congratulations 🎊
Great journey so far... Hopefully u wil be off the ic soon.
I'd go for the 10.
Huge congratulations to you for your running anniversary. I hope you get back out there soon and I wish you a very successful 2020.

What a difference a year makes! I’ll bet you never imagined all those runs would be possible. Thanks for telling your journey and sorry you’re on the IC. If you’re fit enough for April, do the 10K - you know you want to.🤞😉🤞
That’s really inspiring to read
Well done you. Sorry to hear you are on the IC but hope you are soon running again.
Well done on your runniversary! Hope you get off the IC soon.👍
Great story, hope you enjoy the training for your 10k, a great cause.
Definitely the 10k.....you've done it before and may be disappointed if you do the 5k.
Good luck 🙂🙂
Happy runiversary E27M14 ...after 3 years of thinking about it and then finally taking the plunge you deserve to enjoy the day. You've had some right achievements there too, it's amazing where our running takes us...sorry to hear you're sitting, frustrated on the IC but hopefully not for much longer. Judging by the determination you've shown I think you should definitely go for the 10k
Happy runiversary! 10km race in April sounds great, why not? Hope you're off the Injury Couch very soon. ☺
Congratulations & happy runniversary! 😄
Hope you are back in your running shoes soon. 😄
Yes...go for it 🏃♀️🏃♂️👍
Glad to hear you're still loving it...1 year down, many many more to enjoy 😁
Happy runniversary to us! Mine’s technically tomorrow, but hey ho. I can definitely recommend doing the 10k Resolution Run. You could even do a HM later on in the year. I’d like to get another HM under my belt next year before maybe tackling the big one. Good luck in getting off the IC and don’t push yourself too quickly.
