Good job I had some publicly declared goals and plans or no way would I have gone out this afternoon! Having worked outdoors for four hours today I was already cold and wet. I came in for hot tea and to warm my feet up, then had the mammoth task of getting myself back out again.
It was surprisingly easy as it turns out - it was the run to complete my 50 miles challenge for November (evidence now submitted) and the first tempo run on my HM training schedule. And now - after a hot shower- I feel super relaxed and cosy, and pretty virtuous too
I'm running my Half Marathon for MIND, and donations are now at 80% of my target so that's going well too.
Not sure how long it will take my shoes to dry out though

Loving the dedication and commitment Linda! 🙂👍Well done for sticking to your plans and completing your 50 mile challenge too!👏👏🏅The forecast is looking similar for me tomorrow evening - dark, breezy andvery wet!😮 (I will channel your focus and resilience!)
Glad your fundraising is going well - a fantastic choice of charity. Keep it up!🙂
I guess we need to get used to it. It has been nice for so, so long now. Good luck tomorrow. It really is just that doorstep issue ... I think you have bucketfuls of focus and resilience too, you can do it
Well done for getting back out there! My first thought when I was driving home was thank goodness I did my run this morning even though it was in the cold fog! I think I'd have thrown a sickie if I was due to go this evening! 🙈 Kudos 👊 Ooh and well done on your fundraising, a very worthy charity 🤗
Well done on getting out there Linda, what a horrible night! I also did my run this morning in the fog. Congrats on completing 50 miles!! 👏🏃🎉 And congrats on starting your HM plan! Yippee! 😁🏃👍 Hope your shoes dry out soon - I somehow seem to have avoided getting mine properly wet so far... I'm sure it's only a matter of time!
I didn't fancy my run today either and have an appointment in the afternoon...but as I have signed up on the Quest too... got out for a short, quick run in the wind and rain!
