Wet and windy!

50 minute run alongside the river in the rain - 57 minutes including the shortened warm up and warm down walk. It was pretty much a given that I was going to get no matter when I chose to run today, but wow! did I get wet.

I was glad I took an audio drama to listen to as I ran, as - despite the fact that I don't normally have a problem with running in the rain - I really do think I wouldn't have made it without. As it was I managed to clock up just short of 7k in the time, and was happy enough with that.

Yeah, it did come down today, vengeance time. I can't say I'm the happiest when it opens up but with some support from music (or audio drama) it can almost feel like meditation. I respect everyone who goes out there against the elements, but after all that's one of the points of running :)

Let's look at the positives here - at least rain is good for the skin :)

... and the hair too:) My Nan used to rinse our hair when we were childrec, with fresh rainwater :)

It is great. Except. My trainers are still soaking wet and I want to run again tomorrow 😢

Ahh yes, that is a problem. Mine are completely soaked too! Maybe a good excuse to buy more shoes! 😉

I really need new trainers. I've had these a year now and even I can feel that they're on the way out. Trouble is finding some to suit. They don't make the style I wear anymore 😓
