My running has been ticking over nicely with 3k, 5k, 6-8k but on Saturday morning the outside of my right foot started feeling a bit sore.
I thought I’d just rolled it weirdly so went on a SLOW 3k run which was ok, but that must have aggravated it more because yesterday and this morning the side of my foot is in agony!
I’ve had some anti-inflammatory medicine and hoping that helps - I’m not sure what to do 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞

Go to the drs. If there is anything to do about it, they'll at least be able to advise, but until then, follow the RICE advice. Rest Ice Compress Elevate. Hope it gets better quickly.
Thanks Jundal - followed the RICE advice today and it feels much better this evening! Booked a trip to the drs tomorrow to make sure it's nothing major
Jundal nailed it. I'm off to a physio this week myself - we're both still runners, even if in rehab. Best to get your foot looked at sooner rather than later
Runners having a (forced) rest haha! Thanks Equi, I had a quiet day today and it's feeling a bit better! Booked a Drs appointment tomorrow and hoping I'll get the all clear to run my 5k race on Weds..
Heck, hope you recover soon Becky Yes - I think icing your foot would probably help, but for goodness sake get yourself to the docs if you can. I really hope you recover soon!!
I hope so too Neil! So annoying as I know the 10k is close.. I could feel it. Had a day of resting it today and it feels much better this evening, albeit a bit sore still. Booked a dr's appointment for tomorrow to see if i can still run my 5k race on Wednesday evening which I was so excited for
Absolutely never in a million years! Just excited to try and beat my current PB 5k time (so under 35 mins!) although maybe just getting round with my foot is a good idea...
What Jundal said... if it’s only a few days rest thing, you haven’t wasted their time, they get paid to see you, and if it’s something that’s gonna be longer, the sooner you know what it is the better. Fingers crossed it’s nothing much 🤞
I've booked an appointment for tomorrow evening after work - super sad as I have a 5k race on Weds, but hoping I'll be given the all clear to run as it's feeling a lot better today after resting.
